That’s how I was with my first island but I decided on a different theme once I got terraforming which I wasn’t going to do much anyway, I ended up resetting before I finished, I was going to do that with this new island too but know I’m going for an all out tropicore theme! But I still love the simple natural look
I've been to so many dream islands where I walk within about 10 squares of resident services and quit 😂 it stresses me out so much where you have to figure out how to get around all the rubbish
Oh wow!! my very, very first villager neighborhood was a circle of houses like this. I put a pretty fountain in the middle. But then once i got more than 6 villagers i started changing things around. I had completely forgot about that first build! 🥺so nostalgic❤️
unpopular opinion: idk how he is on everyone else's island but zucker gives out the BEST GIFTS hands down! his apology gifts match with all my villagers' general theme and every furniture item he's given me were ones i needed for different builds. think of him however you want but the octopus has taste!!!! 😤😤😤
unpopular opinion: getting burnt out is not always just the games fault. for example: everyone blaming burnt out on no update on an unrelated note…you reminded me to take my meds and i thank u a lot for it haha!
unpopular opinion: the monkey villagers are frickin adorable!! i'm doing a junglecore theme and have simon, shari, and nana and they are SO cute. their little curly tails and footsies make me so happy ☺️
I honestly *adore* Nana. She was my first Nook Miles island villager in ACNH and I'm kinda sad that I haven't seen her since. It's nice to see her get some love :)
this is so beautiful! i along with everyone else really stopped with the ~normcore~ when cottagecore popped off last year and haven't really looked back so it's so refreshing to see something more urban and normal looking and above all, SYMMETRICAL!!!!!!! my unpopular opinion is that bangle is the cutest villager in animal crossing, i love her to death and i think overall the tigers get a lot of unwarranted hate!!! this is a tiger stanning zone!!!!
Unpopular opinion (I think) - I really like the first 2 villager interiors. My starters matched them pretty darn well. Mira has a great colour scheme and Hamlet seems like he would put no effort into decorating lol
@@amandaslough125 she was one of my original two and her interior matched her perfectly: bright, colourful and it pops. Mira is also pretty nice too. Tbh I'm not a huge fan of her theatre interior since I just prefer interiors that are actual houses :/

Unpopular opinion: I don't think we need constant new items/updates. I've been playing Animal Crossing since the Gamecube version and I always found it's the sort of thing where you make your own fun, be that in helping villagers or in the more recent releases, decorating and landscaping. Fantastic build!

Building anything in ACNH feels like it takes an eternity, especially when you have to move buildings around. But your tropical neighborhood is gorgeous, and well worth all that effort!

This inspires me so much, I always had a hard time thinking about how to place the villagers houses (they were always too far, or way too close), and this could go well with the "theme" im thinking!
I've recently been a huge large lattice fence + hedge fan myself. Looks so nice. I like the white because it gives off the suburb feel to me. Enjoyed the vid! My creative brain cells are quite a bit different so I like to see your builds & others for ideas I normally wouldn't think of.😋
The ostriches have cool designs not gonna lie but there are always villagers of each species I hate. (Apart from the mice i dont like them at all really apart from broccolo)
My new is’and has a lot of cats and dogs not because i wanted that but because they kept giving me dogs (my first sisterly villager was cherry) and they gave me cats and dogs when i went to mystery islands or when my plots auto filled so i didnt have the choice to have them. I think i have 2 dogs 3 cats lmao
Slightly unpopular opinion 😉 I don’t really want anymore special characters to return unless they’re doing something fresh and new. Having the café back would be nice, but if it’s just gonna be the same as in previous games, I think it would get old very fast. I want them to use the characters’ lore in new ways. Unpopular opinion: NH is not meant to be previous games with updated graphics, it's its own game & it's only "missing" content if you're constantly comparing it to previous games instead of allowing it to be its own game. This is coming from a massive fan of City Folk and New Leaf
I love this neighborhood! It's one of the most beautiful I've seen 😍. I don't know if this is an unpopular opinion or not, but I am seriously torn between New Leaf and New Horizons. NH has It's own advantages but NL is still an amazingly fun game.

Freya, Megan, Raymond, and Bluebear are my dreamies, but I've only ever had Bluebear in wild world. My islands are always filled up with other villagers because they're all so precious. My first island (my first AC game ever) was filled with all kinds of different villagers I had never heard of before. My dreamies are only dreamies due to personal attachment, but there are just too many good villagers for me to only want to get them. Kid Cat is currently living in the spot I had saved for Freya and it turned out perfect. He has a little workout area and a pingpong table to play it with Lyman.
@@hannahdavis4256 I get new villagers and I'm like "hmm alright. Not who I had hoped for" but then as they stay longer i notice little quirks about them that i like. I also make up little stories in my head about each of them. Then think about things like their relationships, their likes and dislikes and it is just a spiral that makes me like them even more. My mind is a complete mess but it's fun coming up with all my little head cannons for everyone

It is so hard to build neighborhoods for me! I want the fronts of each house to be shown but I want them close. So I definitely think I’m going to try this build! I will also have it on the left side of my island cuz it is empty over there lol. I moved the shop and the tailors and museum to the right side so it’s clustered over there. Thanks for the idea!

This is exactly what ive been thinking for my villager houses! The houses have always been together since i started playing but since the new update and learning about the cul de sac style, its gonna be a goal of mine to attempt the same layout :3

Lately I’ve been feeling uninspired about my island.. I know I want to move my villagers into a neighborhood but I’ve been overwhelmed until I saw this video just now. Terraforming is so nerve wracking for me but this just inspired me and now I can’t wait to start terraforming and moving things around.
I'm escaping from personal issues to Animal Crossing, and got my terraforming license today.. Not sure if the same applies to palm trees specifically, but you might want to grow them elsewhere first where theres open space then plant them in between the fences because they may not grow otherwise. The place looks great btw, really nicely done!!!

unpopular opinion: i hate those SUPER cluttered islands that you see posted on insta sometimes, yes they look absolutely GORGEOUS but can you even walk thru ur island without an insane amount of lag or having to sidestep everywhere?
I have a more traditional little neighborhood for my villagers with 2 streets all connected by 1 street leading to the museum and all the villagers have their own little yard fenced off just for them so while they are all together, it doesn't feel too crampt because they all have their own personal space in the neighborhood. Only downside is that it takes up a lot of space as you probably already know but its worth it for them to be happy even if it means I have less land ultimately for making my own living area or for practical things like flower breeding areas and whatnot

In the process of doing the same thing - similar layout even - on my kids' island. So much terraforming. SO MUCH digging up flowers. But we don't time travel, so it's going to take at least 10 days.
Well now I need to save up bells to do something like this. I've always liked the idea of houses being like a neighborhood, didn't think to move them all the way away from the town square though! I retarted my whole island recently and am enjoying it a lot more. Maybe I can figure out an outline today and buy the plots I need for more villagers. 🤔

I had all my villagers in a circle, but yeah, at 10 it was a bit difficult. smaller circles makes more sense!

My dreamies are only dreamies due to personal attachment, but there are just too many good villagers for me to only want to get them. Kid Cat is currently living in the spot I had saved for Freya and it turned out perfect. He has a little workout area and a pingpong table to play it with Lyman.
@@hannahdavis4256 I get new villagers and I'm like "hmm alright. Not who I had hoped for" but then as they stay longer i notice little quirks about them that i like. I also make up little stories in my head about each of them. Then think about things like their relationships, their likes and dislikes and it is just a spiral that makes me like them even more. My mind is a complete mess but it's fun coming up with all my little head cannons for everyone
Oh gosh when those palm trees grew in!!!😍 you totally inspired me to 1 add more palm trees to my island and 2 try a neighborhood!👏 Hmm my unpopular opinion... ah idk but I will say I didn't care about Kiki or Tangy until I met them, now I don't think they'll ever leave my island😂

It is so hard to build neighborhoods for me! I want the fronts of each house to be shown but I want them close. So I definitely think I’m going to try this build! I will also have it on the left side of my island cuz it is empty over there lol. I moved the shop and the tailors and museum to the right side so it’s clustered over there. Thanks for the idea!

This is exactly what ive been thinking for my villager houses! The houses have always been together since i started playing but since the new update and learning about the cul de sac style, its gonna be a goal of mine to attempt the same layout :3

Lately I’ve been feeling uninspired about my island.. I know I want to move my villagers into a neighborhood but I’ve been overwhelmed until I saw this video just now. Terraforming is so nerve wracking for me but this just inspired me and now I can’t wait to start terraforming and moving things around.

Not sure if the same applies to palm trees specifically, but you might want to grow them elsewhere first where theres open space then plant them in between the fences because they may not grow otherwise. The place looks great btw, really nicely done!!!

9:00 idk if this is just a me thing, but i like to put the middle design first everywhere i want it and then to the edges as required.
unpopular opinion: i hate those SUPER cluttered islands that you see posted on insta sometimes, yes they look absolutely GORGEOUS but can you even walk thru ur island without an insane amount of lag or having to sidestep everywhere?
I have a more traditional little neighborhood for my villagers with 2 streets all connected by 1 street leading to the museum and all the villagers have their own little yard fenced off just for them so while they are all together, it doesn't feel too crampt because they all have their own personal space in the neighborhood. Only downside is that it takes up a lot of space as you probably already know but its worth it for them to be happy even if it means I have less land ultimately for making my own living area or for practical things like flower breeding areas and whatnot

In the process of doing the same thing - similar layout even - on my kids' island. So much terraforming. SO MUCH digging up flowers. But we don't time travel, so it's going to take at least 10 days.
Well now I need to save up bells to do something like this. I've always liked the idea of houses being like a neighborhood, didn't think to move them all the way away from the town square though! I retarted my whole island recently and am enjoying it a lot more. Maybe I can figure out an outline today and buy the plots I need for more villagers. 🤔

My unpopular opinion is islands that are basically a just a path around the island cramped with decorations. I like nice builds that still allow lots of space to run around :)
