wmg lost in vegas responds slipknot reaction hectic reacts - Розваги
FINALLY HOLY SHIT ONLY TOOK 4 MONTHS THANK YOU ALEX💕💕💕
When you think of how long it takes most metal heads to discover this band, i think our boy can be excused
React to arch enemy - the world is yours, please please please
React to Timeless Winter by Into Eternity
So true. Took me awhile but man now that I know about them I sing their praises to all my metal head friends. Too bad they lost their amazing bass player recently but still a great band.
My words exactly lol
THE. MOST. UNDERRATED. BAND.
Don't forget Orden Ogan....
Lordi
Nuno Pinto Don’t forget semblant.
Far from the most underrated
Dyscarnate
This lead singers voice is awesome. Thanks for introducing me to this band.
You should check them out live... Saw them support Rhapsody of Fire and Orden Ogan , and by all looks of it, most of the 200 something (what they managed to cram into that far too small venue) was there for the other 2 bands.. I felt very alone when i was one of perhaps only a handful who could name (or sing) more than one of their songs..
Glad this band is getting better known, they was super sweet after the gig and they played a really great concert (as far as i recall it, it was their first gig in Denmark)
Mercyful Fate- Gypsy
Now that's a voice!
Brittney Slayes has a hell of a voice for sure. Check out their song Tonight We Ride. She teaches notes I only wish I could.
Like SortenRavn said, definitely see them live, whenever possible! I saw them at a tiny little bar a few years ago and met the whole band. They were all very nice and down-to-earth and put on an AMAZING show, even though the crowd was small. I'm very happy to see they're getting more popular, as it's well deserved (and way overdue!).
Her voice is classic heavy metal. Her voice is so incredible. She brought it that’s for damn sure. It makes me happy that women are feeling more comfortable about being in heavy metal bands cause they can bring down the fuckin house with their voices. Definitely looking forward to more reactions. Unleash the Archers is permanently on my playlist
"they can bring down the fuckin house with their voices", your quote should get the Nobel
She reminds me of Ronnie James Dio.
Bryant Wiltrout I Call Brittney The Female Bruce Dickinson!!!
Patrick Huntoon That was my first reaction too!
In my opinion, she's second only to Alissa! In terms of versatility.
Hearing Unleash the Archers for the first time is a spiritual experience almost. I got to hear it live and oh man, that energy in the song just carries through their whole show. It's amazing.
Unleash the Archer's - Tonight We Ride! Her vocals are insane!
Dakota Stees I wish I could like this more than once
SAME
Facts
And the METAL keeps on poring into your veins, you will never get it out of your blood...
johan vanoppen I wouldn’t want it out of my blood!
Yess!! Truer words can not be said. Speaking of the metal! Alex Hefner listen to The Metal by Tenacious D!!!
I DONT destroy the 66
This might be the best reaction channel I've come across. I love your personality and how you've grown to fully embrace metal and the beauty of the genre.
It makes me so happy to see people discovering UTA and having such a positive reaction to them. His face when Brittney first wails out a note!! Warms my heart ❤❤❤ this band deserves to be one of the biggest ones out there!!!
Geekella canadian bands are very underrated..
Being a big well known band is what kills a band. They're good were they're at. Don't make heavy metal out to be k-pop mainstream trash.
Hell yes -- Brittney needs to get into the Rock Hall of Fame! She IS that damn good! 🤘😝🤘
@@isaiahwelch8066 She's a Canadian National Treasure!
Welcome to the beautiful world of Powermetal, where vocalists seem immortal and guitarists have extreme calluses and carpal tunnel. My favorite genre of metal.
If you loved this, you should check out Blind and Frozen by Beast in Black.
My favorite type of Metal as well. I have only recently heard of UTA, but I will be listening to a lot more of them. However, I have been listening to Helloween since the early 90s. One of the best power metal bands ever.
Power Metal is a religion in which i am happy to be a part of. I'm a fan of Heavenly but UTA is amazing as well. Power metal heads unite! ;3
I hear ya fellow warrior.
Powermetal is perhaps THE most "adventorus" form of metal (yes pun intended)
Blind Guardian, Symphony X, Rhapsody of Fire, Epica, Eluveite amd so many more.
If metal in general is "soul music", then powermetal is the fantasy journey and the dreams we proberly all has (or had).
Where we're king or great warriors of huge kingdoms ..
True jajajaja
I never heard this band before, but it instantly click into the power metal.
Dio - Rainbow In The Dark 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Hell yeah dude.
Holy shit... I live in Ottawa Canada and I've never heard of this band but once again I say thank you Alex for introducing me to another kick ass band! 🤘🏻
This one hit me out of nowhere. I saw something about the release of the album on facebook, checked it out, and BAM. Blown away.
Probably one of the most pleasant surprises I’ve experienced in the last 15 years.
I really can’t say enough good things about these guys, this is a piece I would recommend to metalheads, fans of classical music, and just about evreyone inbetween.
There are also maaaany bands that makes metal genre really funny and full of jokes. One of my faves are The Alestorm from Scotland, especially song "Drink" ;) They do folk metal... about being a pirate ! yaaaaarrrr!
EPICA - CRY FOR THE MOON
I think Unleashed or Universal Death Squad are better for the first time. Of course Cry For The Moon is a classic.
The beautiful badassery of the mighty Brittaney Slayes (Hayes) on lead wails.☺
Ok, some facts you probably missed there. The drummer is using double strikes on each hit, which makes his drummer a lot more efficient, but harder to play. Bass player is using 2 different techniques at one time, and he s doing some sweeppicking, without at pick. Singer is using a middle tone in this video, but her ranges is brutally wide, listen close to all the high ranked notes she put on secondary voices. And the guitars are as awesome live as are in this video, son dont miss a chance to see them live.
Saw them last night and they are Amazing Live!!!
My man, you really listen 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
You make it sound like Alex has any idea what you’re talking about..
I'd say the drummer is playing double strokes because he feels more comfortable playing like that. :)
Alternating doubles are definitely not more efficient. They are purely a technical exercise. If he would have overlapped the doubles, maybe that could be considered "efficient", but those are a show off skill. And he may gladly do so :) What he is doing is a heal up technique alternating from a toe first position to a middle second on each leg. This requires you to suspend your upper leg through your hip. Considerably more work than just using your calves.
Like...I can do that tempo of straight forward double bass for probably an hour without stopping or slipping. Not to blow my own horn or anything, that's just a simple drumming exercise (not that long though, I'm being theoretical). But, I can't do those for more than a minute or so before my leg starts to kill me.
The whole of the Apex album is actually so good. Really worth listening to it all the way through so you can hear the whole story.
Madwolf28 epic. One of the best recent metal albums IMO
Apex is UTA's best album by far.
Apex is awesome and the song Apex is incredible !
Unleash the Archers - Cleanse the Bloodlines!
My favorite song of this band
That's a dope song. Gotta give it to Tonight We Ride. That's my favorite song by them :)
schoolboypokemon
Honestly didn't like it :( Felt like it tried too hard and became overly cheesy.
Upside to Apex is that it had just the right amount of cheese haha
I'm a sucker for amazing vocals and the video was dope as heck too. We can agree that Unleash the Archers is dope :D
FEAAAAAAR NOT THE TASK AHEAD THERE NO ESCAPING IT
You reaction matched mine in a lot of ways. This is the first time I've ever heard of these guys. WHY DAFUQ HAVE I NOT HEARD OF THEM BEFORE THIS?!?!? These guys are awesome. Thank you, Alex, for showcasing them.
I LOOOVE Unleash The Archers! I'm so glad you enjoyed it :)
Your face when Brittney screamed at the beginning LOL
In your free time, listen to the whole album. You won't regret it.
Doron Berger best album of 2017
The opening to Apex especially. Total bliss.
One of the best metal concept albums in YEARS
Best album I’ve heard in years. Reminds me of really good Iron Maiden but so much smarter.
Apex is definitely my favorite song! So excited to get to see them in September!
Actually never seen this video before... that is an interesting bass picking technique he's using there. been playing for almost 20 years and that's a new one for me.
Aaron Peart I wonder if he was a guitarist first, it reminds me of high speed classical fingerpicking (such as in the piece Leyenda). It certainly looks like an efficient way to keep pace with the guitars at this tempo; he makes it seem effortless
You could be right about that. It actually does make me think of flamenco guitar playing a bit.
Most of the music I listen to is metal, but only within a small handful of bands. I don't really branch out much normally, so thank you for helping me find this! What a great song.
If you haven't yet, check out the whole album, Apex. You won't regret it.
Alex, I've seen this video within a week or so of when you first posted it, but didn't comment on it then, for whatever reason. I had never heard of Unleash The Archers before, and on a whim I clicked to watch you reaction (the fact that I found the band name cool was a factor as well, not gonna lie).
I watch quite a few reaction channels, (I love watching people experience the music I love for the first time, it's always a joy to watch you guys fall in love with those songs as well), but I usually only watch reactions of songs I already know. This one was the exception to that rule (the only one, I think) and boy, am I glad I decided to open that exception! In a way, my experience watching reaction channels is, in my head, me showing you guys the songs I like; this was the only case where *I* was the one being shown something new to listen to, which was quite the strange (but not unwelcome) experience.
UTA has since then become one of my favourite bands... but I just now realized I never thanked you for showing them to me -- so thank you, very very much! 😁 And keep on rocking on, my friend! 🤘
Arch Enemy - Nemesis
Live at Wacken
her name is Brittney Hayes (a.k.a. Brittney Slayes). She is from Vancouver. She is a mind blow vocalist....
Wait til you hear “cleanse the bloodlines”, such a badass song!
I have absolutely no idea who requested this or how many, but thank you :D
I am a huge fan of them since the early beginnings. I never thought that you would react to such a band, because they are not very "big". But channel like yours(and many other react channel) should give some of the "lesser known bands" a chance and introduce them to a wider audience.
Btw, they are straight down to earth, super nice people!
You should react to "General of the Dark Army" Music Video, its from their Second Album "Demons of the AstroWaste. They did their first two albums independent and shot their music videos with their own efforts. (You definitely can see that but there goes a lot of heart and soul into those).
Another thing to note is, that Brittney Hayes(or better Brittney Slayes), the Vocalist absolutely sounds like this LIVE. and i am not exaggerating.
Their musicianship is truly unreal. I also like to mention that the Bass Player(which joined the band relativity recent) has a very cool and unconventional style of playing, but brings a lot to the table for their sound.
Greetings from Germany and keep on reacting to Bands like this
sadly the bassist has left the band :/
Which Bassist do you mean? Nikko Whitworth (the one in this Video) is still in the band, he joined 2016 and participated in Apex. And hes still a member to this day.
Kevin
He left the band, they posted it on their Facebook maybe 3 months ago
Kevin opinion on matriarch?
Yes unfortunately Nikko has left the band. :/
Holy crap!!! I AM a metal head and may have found a new FAVORITE band!! Dayum!! Btw react to Powerwolf!!!!!
You gotta listen to their version of “Northwest Passage” it’s simply insane
That's such a great song about such a stupid colonial error lol.
As a long time metal fan I thought this channel was going to be fun just to watch you react to the hits I've been rocking to for a long time but every once in a while you react to a band that for some reason I had never heard before. This was AMAZING! and having my reaction alongside you is a new experience and it was so good.
This is one of those songs that after you listen to the first third it is so amazing that makes me go like "please don't fuck it up now" because you sense that potential to be truly amazing. Unleash the Archers nailed it.
Nightwish: the Greatest show on Earth live in Tampere Finland!!!! Masterpiece!!
Indeed! It's a long song but totally worth it!
Brittney Slayes voice is incredible! Hopefully they tour Australia sometime soon! :D
from all the reaction videos on youtube, no one can match your enthousiasm and sheer admiration for the artists.
I always feel better when watching one of your reaction vids.
Alex, you're awesome! thank you so much
Your reaction was priceless! This was pretty much exactly the same reaction I had to this band the first time I heard their song, "General of the Dark Army" five years ago. I love Unleash The Archers!
Alex, bro... FIRE FROM THE GODS!! Excuse me...
One hell of a pick right here it’s a banger
Sons of Winter and Stars by Wintersun (at Sonic Pump Studios)
Please man, this band will blow your mind !
oh yeah, take your time and immerse in the epicness!
Never expected to see such a niche band here, but hell yes, that needs to be a thing.
This needs to happen, best choice
Hye guys, jari here...
Mehh, its gold for power metal addicts. But it gets really old after 7 minutes in, and you kinda hope it would climax to a new song, but then the next song starts and its just the same influences of Sons of Winter, this is a great example of an epic metal band shooting themselves in the foot. You really can't listen to the rest of their music when you are introduced to this song. Shame, but yeah. Epic band, definitely give them a try, but I suggest going through their older titles first.
Hangs my head low.. never heard this band till now... and I am Canadian, I'm on the other coast but wish I heard of them sooner... thank you again of introducing me .. the singers has the most awesome voice.
Awesome vid, my first time hearing this band also, and i've heard a lot - I now have a new one to listen to - Cheers Alex!
Type O Negative - Black no.1 full version
You finally discovered Power Metal my friend-- you need to explore more power metal-- anthemic vocals, HUGE guitars and lots of female vocalists. Maybe start with Sabaton, Gamma Ray, Battle Beast, and Stratovarious
Andrew Ludwig stratovarious would be good
Blind Guardian? Gotta do Valhalla from Imaginations live.
Andrew Ludwig Metalium!!!
Huntress would be good too, along with Astral Doors and Civil War.
It’s not a power metal party without Edguy & Iced Earth 😉
Alex! Thank you for this! I have never heard this band before now either and now... They are instantly iconic to me after ONE SONG!!!
This just made me so happy! I love this band, glad to see you blown away by them too!!
Dio- Holy Diver
T'was about a damn time!
YES YES YES
Bullet for my Valentine Waking the demon
I literally found about them last week. And 'cant get enough' as Alex says is where I'm at
Thank you for these videos, Alex. When I watch them I feel like a teenager again, discovering all these band I love today. Your energy really comes through the screens and makes me fall in love with the music all over again!
AND, since you liked this so much, you need to react to two other songs by Unleash The Archers: Cleanse the Bloodlines and/or Tonight We Ride! The first one is epic and somber, the latter is just pure energy and rockout.
Keep up the great work!
Demon Hunter: Fading Away
Disturbed: inside the fire

Since this song has come up on my Recommended I've been absolutely obsessed with their music. From album to album they are absolutely phenomenal especially with this album Awakening. Very high energy band but also very classy with it as well. Their other songs and albums are definitely worth the listen Alex.
Alex, I love metal and you give me a new perspective on the genre every reaction video you do. I hadn’t listened to this band before I watched your reaction video and I love this song and the album it’s on. Thank you for loving a genre that most people would turn their nose up to.
OOhhh unleash the archers! my favorite is "general of the dark army" ! If you like power metal , check to sabaton and powerwolf !
Lysantera Ghost Division

Sadly my phone at that time was shit so couldnt get some proper shots with the band after their show..
But as said.. band is as chill as their music is dope
I just met your channel and I'm in love of your reactions, they're hilarious!!!! 💜
YES! Finally! Love me some Canadian power-metal. Also, the singer is Brittany Slayes.
Wow! This is pretty good. It sounds like Maiden with the operatic vocals and the galloping drums/bass.
You should listen to the track Apex by them. Very strong Maiden vibes.
my EXACT reaction to hearing Brittney Slayes' voice for the first time(chills)!
If you haven't yet, you should also check out their sings Tonight We Ride, and Apex!
Thank you guys and Alex, that through this channel I heard for first time this masterpiece.!Unreal song

Judicaël KOVAC yes! UTA is legit! Would love to see a reaction to Arch Enemy - Nemesis playing at wacken
This is the first of your videos I've seen and I LOVED watching you geek out over Unleash The Archers....because I do every fucking time I listen to them. Which is a Lot. They're just as epic Live.
I just listened to them a few months ago and found you!! Best day ever !
Epica is another fantastic band with a female vocalist, I really recommend the song The Essence of Silence (oficial live), it's really awesome
kreshBACON Unleashed is a great introduction to Epica too 🤘
Great band to see live aswell!
Epica, Nightwish, Within Temptation, The Agonist, Arch Enemy, The Pretty Reckless, Halestorm, Dorothy, Eths, Otep, Kittie, Evanescence, Sister Sin, In This Moment, Joan Jett, Janis Joplin, Jefferson Airplane, Mordichrist (yah).
And I know i mixed genres, but i recomend them all.
Yes please, react to them 🙌🏻❤️
One of if not my favourite Canadian metal band, and Apex is probably my favourite album from them. This was pretty much my reaction the first time I listened to the album! I LOVE that they have semi stepped away from the harsh vocals a bit and focused on the cleans for this album. still have harsh vocals in some of the songs, but its more refined and perfected.
just found your channel. This is an amazing band, and its great to see your appreciation for this kind of music.
Thank you for bringing this band to me, what an amazing song!!
Wintersun - Sons of Winter and Stars live rehearsal!
You should definitely look up Eluveitie’s songs. My favorites are Rebirth, Inis Mona and Thousandfold
first time ive ever heard of them, been listening to metal for 25yrs, shows how huge the genre is, awesome tune, gonna listen to the catalogue
First time hearing UNLEASH THE ARCHERS for me. Sounds really good. Thanks for this videos Alex!
Korn- Freak On Leash
Amon Amarth - Thousand years of oppression live in Bochum , one of the best live performances ever!
Damn this band SHREDS! I’m not a fan of power metal but I’m a fan of this band for sure
Absolutely love unleash the archers, so happy to see you reacting to this lmao
This is a first for me, a reaction to a band I've never heard of. Also fellow canadians... right on!
Wintersun-Sons of winter and stars
Yes, it's time
yessss
RJBViking There was an opportunity for a great pun.
this sir, is a must hear song
Do it Alex. JUST DO IT!!!!
of all the reaction videos I've seen to this video/song, the one that shares the backstory to the song and explains what's going on with the lyrics is the hip hop fan and not all of the metal heads
you got an instant thumbs up and sub right at the beginning for that
wish more react channels put the extra time into their videos too
keep that up
I'll be watching all of your videos for sure now 👍
3:17
I just love this moment where Alex completely vapor-locks at Brittney's wail.
DO Wintersun - Sons of winter and stars - Live rehearsal @ Sonic Pump Studios!
OMG THANK YOU! finally been asking for this band for so long now!!!!!!!!!
This song is absolutely amazing, thank you so much for introducing me to this band Alex, and keep doing what you do bro.
Nice reaction. Great band. And props for pushin on thru changing circumstances bbbbbbbro
You should definitely check out Amaranthe! "The Nexus", "Maximize" or "Drop Dead Cynical" for sure!
I second this! one of my favorite bands!
3rd this comment!
To hell and back by sabaton or Valhalla by blind guardian live from through the looking glass. I'll be persistent
I LOVE SABATON!!!!!! One of the most amazing bands I've ever seen live!!!
If he reacts to Blind Guardian it should be the Wacken video if them doing Valhalla and Bards son. He likes crown reactions, I think he'd spaff to seeing Wacken singing their songs.
Fazz25 that is the one from wacken
HOLY GOD THAT WAS AWESOME! My first time hearing this band as well. Just AWESOME!
Love the face when u see the vocals start
Also, did anyone else notice the 2 second long bass riffs
Please react to something by Deftones. Anything, but these are a great place to start: Back to School, My Own Summer (Shove It), Diamond Eyes, Rocket Skates, Knife Prty, Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away), Headup (ft. Max Cavalera from old Sepultura, Soulfly, Cavalera Conspiracy, etc, etc, etc), and my all-time favorite song Passenger (ft. Maynard James Keenan from Tool)
Yes all of these!
Sounds like you are a Power Metal fan :) welcome to the land of swords sorcery and guys in tight pants singing high and clean about dragons ;)
I love power metal and i hope you get around to checking out bands like Hammerfall, Blind Guardian, Helloween, Lost Horizon, Sabaton, Stratovarius, Edguy, Manowar, power quest etc.
My request would be Lost Horizon - Highlander (the one) maybe the most epic power metal track of them all, so many memes generated by its awesomeness
alex Clarke Sonata Arctica
Some more female vocalist bands worth checking out besides Nightwish and Epica (a few more obscure than others)
Within Temptation - Paradise (What About Us?) or Stairway to the Skies
Krypteria - Sweet Revenge or At the Gates of Retribution
Ancient Bards - Through My Veins
Edenbridge - Move Along Home (I was reminded of this when you mentioned that "coming home" feeling)
Cross Vein - Eternal Dream (in Japanese, but still awesome)
UTA amazing... glad i have gotten to see them three times live.. and Brittney is amazing
I agree - you look a little familiar haha
