Sadly Patrice died around 9 months after this, and it seems he knew it would be soon as he drops several hints to it in this special, he was one of the greats RIP.
@@gamexsimmonds3581 If there was a God to bless him, why would he only have a year? Why didn't your God bless him to not be in this situation to begin with? So naive.
😂 when I was 13 and in junior high school, I took typing class. ALL the typewriters were manual, so if you didn't have enough strength in your pinky you were doomed. 😂
Elephant in the room is the full stand up special, I don’t know why they named this clip that. You should watch the whole elephant in the room special, it’s one of the greatest of all time
Watching you 3 fumble thru spelling got me doing what mom told you. Caps means yelling. SPELL THE DAM WORD RIGHT! Then I calmed down once I realized I couldn't spell them either 😂😂
Absolutely! Typing class was a thing! My days it was a computer, but very old computers. My teacher would just tell us to close our eyes to type the tests! LOL🤣
I was born in ‘90 and we still kind of had a typing class when I was in 6th grade, about 11-12 years old. Technically I think it was a computer literacy course because it was around that time, late 90’s to early 00’s, that more and more people were beginning to have their own PC’s in the home. The class taught the basics for how to operate a computer and its different programs, and taught proper and efficient typing. My family had owned and had a PC in our house since about ‘94 so I grew up using one, but that class still took me from typing around 60wpm up to around 120wpm. At that point people understood that basically no matter what job you had in the future computers were probably going to play a role in some form or another, so that class was teaching stuff that would be useful for all of us students going forward. Once I was in high school I began taking courses on coding and website building, but unfortunately those classes were much less useful because the internet and coding was evolving so quick that by the time I finished both years of that course the information that was taught to us was already outdated and websites were being coded in a totally different language.
I took typing class my in high school (class of ‘83). I was the only guy in my class out of 23,I remember the blind fold and having to be able to type at least 35 words a minute with out looking at your fingers
I just love how Sophie took pity on those of us over 50, who had to type on typewriters in typing class. She went "Awww" like we're to be pitied or something. 😂 Where I went to school, half of the class used electric typewriters and the other half of the class had to use the manual ones. We'd switch out every quarter. I dreaded my time on the manual ones. I could type 120+ wpm on an electric, with only a couple errors, if that. The manual? 50 wpm, with multiple errors, if I was lucky.
Aiden: "Typing classes? Was that actually a thing?" ROFL. Nah Aiden, those machines with the alphabet on them and the whacky metal things bouncing around were just an infomercial gimmick😅😅😅.😅😅
I graduated in 2005 and when I was in school the class was called keyboarding. It wasn’t a requirement it was elective but I’m glad I took it. Though I will say autocorrect has diminished my ability to spell some relatively basic words.
Obviously Patrice was a genius, his stuff lives on forever. Look at how these guys literally got stuck trying to spell restaurant just like his standpoint was saying lol now imagine questioning yourself with a gun pointed at your mom
Your mom is so right. My mom took typing lessons. Even me...I had typing classes in high school when I was 16. We had to learn the layout of the keyboard. Of course, it didn't make me any faster or better that much. My typing speed REALLY went up when internet chatting became a thing and I was chatting with 5 different girls. LMAO!! You HAD to be quick to type to different girls. LOL
It's not just diet. White Americans eat as poorly as black Americans but whites have a higher life expectancy. Some of it is genetic. My grandfather was a college athlete and he died of high blood pressure at 30. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer at 38.
I took a typing class in the mid 80's when I was in High School. There was no real Internet back then so very few people in our age knew how to type. My best friend and I took typing class but not because we knew computers and the Internet would be important in the future. We took typing class because it was mostly filled with girls and we were the only 2 guys in the class. 😁 Loved that class and it was an easy A.
Bill Burr does a charity show every year for his family in Boston. That's where Patrice grew up. Usually 10-15 comics preform for free. Bill Burr also grew up outside of Boston
When I was in elementary school in the US typing was a mandatory class. That would have been in the 1980s. They sat us down on typewriters in the school library and had us type as the teacher talked. Then , they switched out typewriters for computers and instead of dictation they had us learning code. I still remember getting all the code right to play a game on the computer called “ acrobat” where you either jumped over or ducked under an obstacle.
Sophie this is how George is spelled, this is how Gorgeous is spelled. Gorgeous is not the same as George with ous at the end. 😂😂😂😂😂. You were a teacher? 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️. Aiden caught it! 😂😂😂
Well.... that was quite a spelling lesson. To be fair, I have to stop and think my way through gorgeous too. And thanks, Aidan. After Sophie's tip, I was thinking to myself, I have to remember that, right along with you Gaynor. Isn't it funny, how easily we can get twisted up with our own language? Great video. Thanks.
Extremely Hilarious Reaction. Y’all are fun to watch! I just subscribed because of the camaraderie that y’all have😊..And Great Reaction To Patrice O’Neal👍🏾💯👍🏾
“You can’t expect to eat greasy food…” Don’t y’all love and chips? Don’t be mad just because we decided to deep fry the rest of the animals and vegetables.
That was Georgeous I love the video thank you Aidan, Gaynor & Sophie !!!!
RIP great show man
What a "Georgeous" Family God bless 😂
Patrice was very funny, but I was in tears laughing at the part when Aidan paused the video and said, "Hang on. Sorry. George??"
I read this comment before it happened, was waiting to see what you were talking about, but that ended up being my favorite part once i heard it loool
Hahahaha. Could see the cogs turning.
More like Gorge.
I was running to the comments to tell them they look georgeous but he paused the video again to say “hold up” 😂😂

Patrice died damn near immediately after this! It was the same year a few months later.

The crazy part is he mentioned his 40s and diabetes and he died 9 months after this was released from a stroke related to his diabetes
You should see the roast of Charlie Sheen where Amy Schumer roasted him about him having diabetes. Very uncomfortable.
What a georgeous video
Patrice and Burr came out of the Boston comedy scene around the same time and were best friends.
This portion of the special is the reason I know how to spell restaurant.
😂 when I was 13 and in junior high school, I took typing class. ALL the typewriters were manual, so if you didn't have enough strength in your pinky you were doomed. 😂
Patrice O’Neal man. What a legend. RIP brotha
My favorite all time comedian
Patrice and Burr are fucking funny because they be telling the truth
Graduated in 96. At my school Typing was a mandatory class. 1st semester was on typewriters and 2nd was on PC. Haven't seen a typewriter since.
Wow, that late. 😲
Typing class was phased out in 1991 at my high school.
Computer class took over from there on out. 💾
I loved "Spelling with the office bloke Daz" edition 🤣
kids now have so much things so easy
As an American I'm laughing at English folk trying to spell English words...lol... Great video, thanks

I postponed Mavis Beacon for years. Now I can't type to save my life😢😂.
Absolutely! Typing class was a thing! My days it was a computer, but very old computers. My teacher would just tell us to close our eyes to type the tests! LOL🤣
We had construction paper over the home keys
We had typing class. It was an elective. We didn't close our eyes though, they put a rubber cover over the keyboard so we couldn't see the letters
Half way through high school
