Would this be able to be run from a mac? I have been struggling to find any programs like this that do haha...
Uhhh maybe🤷🏽♂️? You couldn’t rat a mac computer with this, but u *might* be able to use the client on a mac. But..maybe just get a vm🤌🏽
Technically you still can do this without a VPS by simply portforwading your local machine and enabling SSH on it amarite?
yes.. but you can't "simply" port forward as you *usually* need access to the router. ssh routing is port forwarding via ssh, which is a lot more practical for malware.
hey been experimenting with the stuff and really liked it on my local ubuntu server but what would you reccomend for a vps I dont have money I am a student so do you know any cheap or maybe free versions that I can use works kinda okay for this?
Yo! the `from-github.cmd` installer on the repo is the version of OnlyRAT that doesn't require a vps, but you are limited to connecting in your local network. regarding vps's, you can't really get one for free. but there are some pretty cheap ones from sites like vpsserver.com @ like 4 bucks a month (the specs won't be that good). you could also portforward a device on your network but you do run the risk of having that open port. but as long as you know what you are doing and secure it properly, it should be great! i'd be happy to help more in the discord if need be 🤙🏽

I'm struggling to have a "key" created on my vps. I do the steps exactly as shown, but when I complete the portion on kali linux, it shows no key on the vps.

yo! i run the from-vps.cmd on my target machine and it pulled v1 and v2 from the server but the .rat config is not created on the vps. then i try to pull it down it says
scp: /home/user/*.rat: No such file or directory
any guesses?

yes that works, now my only problem is that when starting *.rat it refuses the conection, any idea why?@@Evgru111
