Love your plantings. I'm a kindred spirit. I have Redbuds, Colorado Blue Spruce, Bloodgood Japanese Maple, Whitespire Birch and River Birch. Also, White and Pink Dogwood, and a front yard Sugar Maple, and a couple more Japanese Maples (Osakazuki and Hogyoku). As for shrubs, I've got Yews, Mugo Pine, Lilacs, Forsythia, Roses, Star Magnolia, Smokebush, Japanese Spirea, Witch Hazel, Fothergilla, Golden Vicary Privet, Sea Green Junipers, and Golden Junipers. For summer color, I make use of Petunias, Geraniums, Dahlias, Lilies, Panicle Hydrangea, and Chrysanthemums. I'm trying to get some Clematis going. I don't think that my space is quite as large, ... or as ordered as your space, but it all seems to be coming together ...
Wow! Your landscape looks like a secret garden resort! You would never know you have close neighbors! I am beyond impressed! 👏🏼Keep inspiring us with your awesome landscape and your wealth of knowledge on shrubs, trees and plants!! 🌺 Love the sycamore trees!!
It's amazing how you have managed to plant so many trees and blocked out all your neighbors. It is truly a secret garden. So many beautiful trees. I would love to see a night tour video once you light up some of the trees. Thank you for sharing your beautiful garden.
I know I’ve said this before but your garden is just perfection! For something different for your lighting you could wrap driftwood with cafe lights and hang your “chandeliers” from your trees around the yard! Deanna
I recently planted 11 trees in my small garden and I dream of the day they begin to provide shade and privacy. However, I don’t want to grow any older while I wait. 😂 Thanks for sharing your process.
Love your backyard🌻. Getting ideas on what to add to ours. We live on a point 2acres, year five here. Slowly adding trees and bushes to add privacy and sound proofing. Unfortunately I started with the flower beds, wishing I had added trees first. We’ve added white pines, Arborvitae, Leyland, Golden Chain several different maples. Working on a tight budget, hoping to add some juniper and more pines. Seeing how your yard has transformed over the years is giving us insight into the future of ours. At 65 we’re hoping to have less to mow, and low maintenance. Thank you for sharing both hubby and I enjoy watching your videos🌻🌻
I LOVE ❤️ all the trees. How many do you have? Front and back. My friends think I'm crazy for planting so many trees. And I only have 14. Lost a couple , but plan on planting more. I call myself a tree hugger. 😊 🌲 🫂
Thank you for the leaves on the ground during winter comments; I was wondering about that myself because I will have tons and tons of leaves to pick up, and now I know I can relax this year and just let it do its thing!
I live in Maryland zone 6b. I just learned about your lovely garden from the comments someone made on Hort Tube Gardening. It’s amazing what you were able to make in a suburban subdivision. It’s environment art. Where do you purchase your trees and art pieces ?
Gould you please give a closer look at the leaves on the tree so we can maybe identify some of our trees that we’re not sure what they are when we may not have been the one to plant them
Hi, you have amazing garden. About your idea with lightning. On one hand it's amazing idea, you could be really creative about this and garden will look amazing at night. But on other hand additional lighting at night is evil for all fauna.... :(
Very nice and what a nice way to start the 4th. I'm sure your neighbors appreciate the privacy you are providing them as well. Where I live we have tremendous deer pressure, rabbit and woodchuck damage. At least the deer aren't in your town garden. Have a happy 4th with your family and God bless our beautiful nation.
We have added Alliance low voltage lighting to my garden and koi pond. I have 4 bt200 lights installed 40 ft in my old growth post oaks for moon scapes. I also have 3 bt200 around the koi pond. They are blue tooth and have an app to control color and brightness. I was able to install myself.
Did you get your blue cascade atlas cedar, locally or did you order it? I have been looking locally, but haven't had any luck. Thank you, garden is beautiful Lyly.
Great video. I'm a tree person. You have a nice property! Lots of great trees.
Beautiful garden I love it🙏🏼😇👍👌💯

Beautiful space and tour. Maybe a short part 3 showing the garden from the deck and how all the trees mingle with one another.
Love all of your trees! Really beautiful!

Just perfect !! ❤
I have the same fish bowl but you’ve done an excellent job of building that neighbourhood barrier. Great advice on tree placement.

Gorgeous selection 🥰

We have lots of trees in our yard. I have lots of Japanese Red Maple. Beautiful in spring and fall.
I love trees. Between the last two years I went from zero to about 12 trees on my property lol
Love seeing your garden mature, it makes me look forward to all my tree babies maturing someday!

Please add Ginkgo to your already wonderful landscape.
Hello Mike thank you for your videos ❤
How far away from the fence did you plant the Green Giants?
