Your pant form is a brilliant idea. It immediately illustrates the crotch line, more than a thousand words ever could. Like everyone else , I had struggled with fit modifications. I’m not sure if I will construct the pant form , but I can VISUALISE things now !!! That will help me tremendously going forward. Thank you x 1 million, Saremy !
I don’t know if you’ll see this post in regards to post being over a year. However this is really going to help me. I’m actually on vacation and I just started making a muslin version of the pants form. I’m just now getting my pieces marked . So I’ve already got some very good tips and I know I’ll be referring to this video quite often. I also just subscribed.
This is so helpful as a teaching aid! Great idea. I used a flexible ruler once to mold my crotch curve but it came out with such a funny looking shape I didn't know what to do with it. Seeing your cross section made me laugh, looks a lot like mine did, but now I understand how it relates to a pant design! Thanks again.
@@SewSewLive I do. Next time I make pants, probably in a few weeks, I will check out my "shape" with the flexible ruler and see I can make sense of it now that I have your visual to help me.
Oh now I am getting motivated to remake my dress form. Remember I steamed some garments on it and shrunk the whole thing. I think the only way to salvage it is to pull all the stuffing out and make another one. I'll just reuse my stand as well.
Off topic, but it seems I was unsubscribed from your channel, not sure how that happened because I did not do it. Could it be another fun glitch? Anyhoo, thanks for this clever video!

It’s pretty hard to imagine what’s happening there! Think you’ll try the crotch curve trick again?

Glad you enjoyed it Belinda! Thanks for watching 😊
Does this apply to men’s pants as well?
Absolutely. I know that they have men’s patterns too!
