I have this condition. I was extremely lucky to be diagnosed as no one at the eye A&E in the hospital knew what I had. However 1 of the trainees of only two specialists in VKH in the UK at the time, Mr Kok, happened to be on loan from Moorfields Eye Hospital of London. 20 years on and although I'm on immuno suppressants I still get strange symptoms crop up. For example Dr's are currently investigating whether a 7 month long migraine, with photosensitivity in one eye, is related as it doesn't seem to fit anything else.
I have had VKH disease since 2010. Currently, my fingers have started developing joint deformities? Is it possible to stop the deformities with medications, and what are the effective medications for this condition? Please help Please
I have had Vogt Koyanagi Harada (VHK) since 2006. I had all these symptoms, hair loss, hearing loss, loss my hearing on left ear recently and some white spots on my body. It started with pink eyes and gradually my visions went blurry it just like camera out of focus. I couldn’t see a more than a months. Both lenses in my eyes are artificial. I see mostly on left eye. I am still on treatment with antibiotics cellcept and alphagan and cosopt for the eye drops.

Are you admited to the hospital..because i'm also a vkh patient..4yrs.ago i have that disease,i got admitted for 3 days for the proper medication,,the medicine is so expensive it cause 100k here in the philippines..thankful now is not good like before but i can see now.
I have same disease. Your eyes specialist shoud give you Cortisone. You need to contact all the eyes specialist in your country. Do not your your mobil at dark rooms. If it dark be carfull from the strong lights. You should not be under stress our worry all the time. Always you have to be relx to control it
