That’s how you push that material into a pile, but why?
As the description says, he's pushing the material up to cover exposed coal seams as the mine is being shut down. This will then stop anyone from trying to dig the material out.
Why is the mine being shut down and restored if there is still coal that could be mined? Too unsafe?
The UK government's green policy dictates we can't mine our own coal. Happy to import it though!
