Pyrgos

Sitting in the heart of Santorini, at the foot of Mt Profitis Ilias, Pyrgos is the largest preserved village on Santorini and the island’s former capital. Surrounded by vineyards, its steep, medieval alleys are home to many wine bars and tavernas, galleries, and boutiques. It's also a hidden gem when it comes to sunset, far from the maddening crowds that flock to Oia for the daily ritual of watching the sinking sun.
