Oh My God, Someone finally did a thorough review on this bike. Thank You 🙏 so very much. You are the only one to go over everything it has to offer. Keep up the excellent work.
Ciao Albe, I appreciate your insights on this bike. A friend was asking me about it and I wanted to get a perspective from someone I knew I could trust. Keep up the great work.
Finally a great review on the BMW G310R. Would have liked to see more details of the bike. But anyway very good review. I'll be buying this bike after a test drive.
I have the same one and to b very honest as you go about riding the bike the factor of wow loving it effect kicks in ... I am the first buyer of this bike from my region n it’s a head turner n ppl have been taking pictures of my bike BMW G310R. I just hope that more of accessories will be out sooner
I am suddenly wanting my first street bike, and I want to start with something small and lightweight. After some research my head says Ninja 400.......but my heart says this one.
I'm considering the G310gs for commuting and off-road exploring in addition to the two bigger sisters. I currently use the 800gsa for this purpose, but I have a hunch the 310 will be better at both. The 800 would probably still be my go-to for long journeys on dirt roads away from civilization but I find it a chore on really bad single tracks due to its weight. Would love to see you test the 310gs off-road comparing it to the 800.
Hey Albe! Very nice review👍. I want to buy from Dainese a pair of pants and jacket. I ride a supermoto ktm lc4 625 and mostly somewhere 150-250 km on a ride. And i use it between Mai-November. Any sugestions? Thanks a lot
If you choose to go with leather, I would look at a 2 pieces perforated, if you want something more casual, the mesh jacket I was wearing and a good pair of riding jeans (possibly reinforced with Kevlar) will do. Take a look at my riding gear, there should be a link in the description 👍
Hi Albe. Thank you for your review. I just picked up this bike for the weekend as my loan bike. I love it. Have to agree with you with everything you say. Great review. I have been riding for about 30 years and yes if I was in the market for a small capacity bike, I will buy this for sure! Looking forward to your next video. Cheers. KarmaBrotherCat
If they sold the same bike with a twin like 400 or 500cc for just a little more I would have bought it the day I test rode it. Still thinking about getting one anyway, but a little more power to keep up on the freeway would push me over the edge.
Hi .. Albe's Adv.... Hi . Albe's. This is Manoj from India ... I'm planning to buy a BMW 310r ... This will be my first sports bike with a 300 cc. I have shortlisted two bikes BMW 310 n Benelli 300 r ... How do you compared this two bikes in performance , long term maintenance , pick up wise ( speed ) average .... Please guide me which one to buy ? As in India I'm getting a two types of review on this two bikes ... Please help me in choosing the right one ....
I was curious about that bike. Maybe they will make a GS version in the future. Albe one other bike I am curious about is the Honda African Twin. I don't live near a dealer to try one myself. Have you tried it yet? It's the only bike that I would consider over my GS800.
I m still waiting for it to launch in India but i think i should go for TVS Apache 310rr with same engine and build quality . And I think Apache looks better full fairing bike with price just 3200 dollar. but i have heard that if BMW will launch their bike than their price will be 2800 dollar.
hello Albe. great vlog. I was at the motorcycle expo in long beach too. all the BMW rides were booked solid the only ride o was able to go on was on the indian scout which wasnt a bad ride but im not used to cruisers. I was waiting and waiting for this bike to come to the states. I was in close contact with the bmw dealer near me and we were expecting the biketo arrive last june it never came and i got impatient and bought the 390 duke. this is my 5th motorbike and I bought this bike for commuting but it is a total blast to ride. Im in the same area too. impressive vlog my friend keep uo the great work. Cin cin
Thanks for your analysis... but you forgot a third category of buyers: The old fart like me (75-year-young) who's riding a 192 Kg Yamaha 2010 MT03 660 cc & who wouldn't mind downsizing by 28 Kg (62 pounds) when he reaches 80 with a BMW G310R :) Also I like its lower seat height of 785mm vs 805 of my MT03. Remember that the G310R is built in a country where the average men's height is 1m66 (5'5")...
i do not understand why people think that big engines are more dangerous than small engines when you're on a bike you need to be able to accelerate quickly to avoid trouble and imagine yourself stuck on a small underpowered bike and wanting to get out from the way of a big truck that can't see you nor hear you. in city yes maybe smaller is better but on all round roads its not that difficult to control a big engine if the bike is light enough and has ergonomics that suits u
I agree it's good to be able to get out of the way quickly , I don't think small bikes are less dangerous, I think they are easier to handle, especially for new riders, because of their small size and light weight and way harder to flip up side down than an 150hp bike.
Though choice, I like the way the G310r looks better than the KTM, but if you are a bigger guy, the KTM has a little more power, in the end they are both great bikes.
That was a good review... Is this bike getting hot in heavy traffic like KTM bikes?? How the cooling system works in this? Also how much is the mileage?
I didn't notice any heat wile going thru traffic, and the bike never overheated, so I'm assuming the cooling system works pretty good, but I only had it for 2 days, same goes for the mileage, on those 2 days I rode it pretty hard so the mileage wouldn't be accurate compared to regular use.
Albe, thanks for the video. It was very informative. I am in the process of getting my license, and I want something easy to handle and control, not crazy fast, comfortable, and cheap since it's a first bike. I am a little bigger than you at 6'3" and 240 pounds. I also have a 36" inseam and wear size 16-17 (52 in Europe) shoes. Given that, what do you think? Will the bike fit me OK, and will it have sufficient power and not be strained due to my weight? I am especially concerned about finding boots my size and being able to shift gears because of my feet. Any help you can provide will be helpful. I have subscribed to your site. Thanks again!
For your size I would go with something a little more powerful and probably bigger. The best way would be to go to a few dealers and size the bikes up, I think as long as the bike as a smooth power curve and you can flat foot it, you should be good to go.
Sir i m from india and i wish to buy this bike when launched.. Will it have high service rates like that of car.. And what mileage will it get please reply sir
+Akhil Dinesh like most BMWs the first service is at 1000km (600mi) then is every 10000km (6000mi). The rates for service depends on the dealer performing the service, over here they are not too expensive, definitely cheaper than the cars.
+Nitish Rao the seat height is about 31 inches (79cm), I flat foot it but I'm 6'2" (186cm), my wife is 5'4" (164cm) and she touches the ground with both feet with no problem.
Albe's Adv ok.. because here in India TVS(BMW’s partner for G310R) have launched a sports bike Apache 310RR with the same BMW engine.. and people feel little vibrations over 6K rpm
I own this bike in cosmic black too. Already added crashbar, radiator guard and sliders from SW Motech and R&G Racing. TBH it does not sound great on the exhaust. Great noobie bike for me. Already put up 2,500km on this. I hate that LCD, clock only display 24H format and it's a monochrome. KTM 390 cost less in my region and have more advanced instrument cluster. Pre ordered a 2018 R1200R as my novice bike. I'm really hoping that thing had TFT as standard though.
Hey Nhoy Barangay would live see your bike please upload a video of possible... Also I have a question about the bike how much does the service cost on an avg
plus.google.com/+NhoyBarangay/posts/JEKzxDZix4P Running-in check for the first thousand click cost $53USD. That only includes Oil & Oil Filter though. I did the maintenance myself, but still brought the bike to service to reset the service light.
Yeah it is. But if you are not vertically challenged like me, I'd get the KTM Duke 390; it's better and cheaper too. I'm only 5'6"; too bad KTM lacks OEM lowering options on their bikes that made me shy away from them.
I really wanted to like this bike. I have ridden this bike a fair amount and I would NEVER buy this bike. The clutch is more of an on off switch than having a linear feel to it. And the vibration in the crotch is really bad. The first 10 miles it puts a smile on your face but after that your testicles start to complain how much they bounces off the tank .
Oh My God, Someone finally did a thorough review on this bike. Thank You 🙏 so very much. You are the only one to go over everything it has to offer. Keep up the excellent work.
I actually have the ne S1000RR but am seriously thinking of buying this as a commuter bike.
What a great review!!!!! I like how you meticulously went through the engineering and specs of the bike. Thank you very much for a great video!
Thank you for watching 😀👍
Ciao Albe, I appreciate your insights on this bike. A friend was asking me about it and I wanted to get a perspective from someone I knew I could trust. Keep up the great work.
Ciao, no problem man 😀👍
One of the best reviews on UA-cam
Thank you
Finally a great review on the BMW G310R. Would have liked to see more details of the bike. But anyway very good review. I'll be buying this bike after a test drive.
I have the same bike, best thing I ever bought.
Can’t wait to get mine! Also buying it from riverside BMW! I’m in between this one and the 310 GS😭
Congratulations!!! As always try to drop my name, and see if you can get some perks 😁👍
I have the same one and to b very honest as you go about riding the bike the factor of wow loving it effect kicks in ... I am the first buyer of this bike from my region n it’s a head turner n ppl have been taking pictures of my bike BMW G310R.

I know, it’s a beautiful looking bike. 👍
I am suddenly wanting my first street bike, and I want to start with something small and lightweight. After some research my head says Ninja 400.......but my heart says this one.
I think if you are new a bike with an upright position will give you more flexibility and functionality. So I will second that.
Manufactured by TVS in my country. You have a fully faired version of this called TVS Apache RR310
I heard about it. I wish I could get my hands on one to do a comparison
Best review about this bike I've watched

Would love to see you test the 310gs off-road comparing it to the 800.
+Gerhard Combrink it would be probably good for commuting across town, I can't say for off-road until I test one
Gerhard Combrink so can we change the ECU ourself?
Excellent Review Albe. I'm sold. Getting back into riding after 10 years away from it and excited to order the G310R. Forza Azzurri!
Sempre 👍
I have it and i LOVE it...amazing bike!
calvingmail can you drive it on the highway with speeds up to 65-70 mph?
Whats the speedo look like at night?
Looks the same but backlighted
Mr. I slide Sedans_727 yes. I have it. No problem over 65-70
Super review and am satisfied with your views that am going to have this bike one day.... Thank you so much
Glad to help
Another nice Vid. Thanks Albe! Keep em coming.

Thank you, I just picked up a s1000r, review coming soon
+Albe's Adv thanks Albe, by the way do you have an instagram account?
Yes, @albesadv
Beginner bike? I have a 959 Corse, and I want that just for fun lol
GREAT REVIEW, NICE ACCENT !!
Thanks 😀👍

+Ed DeBolt i agree, unfortunately it's easier to test drive a $25000 Ducati or BMW than a $10000 Honda, or at least that is my experience
BMW does make a 310GS

Hi Alain, it's been awhile since I rode the 310r but I still have fond memories of it, it's a fun bike 👍
Is there BS6 in Indian market till date 🏍️
Nice review. Thanks!
stunning review
Thank you

it was a lot of trouble with 1 cylinder engine before, have they fixed that in anyway on this bike?

check tvs 310rr same engine as bmv and the chassis are similar, just bmw name.
Yes, they are made in the same place too
And for people who just want something fun to ride.
At 9.12 those cars disappeared 👻 when saw bmw 300cc bike lol 😂
LOL, they knew better
Good review.
Pls review the GS version of it!
I will

how about TVS Apache 310R
+Sagar Desai I only saw pictures of it and it does look pretty cool.
Why does the console shake, while the button is pressed !!
Because it's on rubber mounts to deal with vibrations

Italian army
Good to hear BMW made in India👍
Sundeep Hegde i have bajaj pulsar rs200 ...its good bike
crow zero it is based on KTM Duke 200
It's designed in India, not made in
My first bike!
Great choice Andrew
😀👍
Albe's Adv thanks for the great review
MAMA MIAAAAA
WHOA!!! cars DISAPPEARED at 10:13 ALIENS!!!!!!!!

Air cooled or H20 cooled?
H2O
tell me about the seat height

Albe's Adv might me because of different ECU also
That is very possible
only 1 cylinder what!?!!?!?
Hmm not bad, but KTM Duke 390 would eat this thing alive, both in terms of specs and road abilities
Is it made in India bike
Yes
How tol are you sir?
6'2" or 186cm
Why so "nimble" 😂😂

how is the mileage coming along?
still ktm rules in this segment .
whats the prize?
Here in the United states is about 5000 dollars
Albe's Adv ok india almost 5100 USD
Wow, I thought it would be cheaper there.
Albe's Adv no brother US currency bigger than indian currency!!!
1doller= 65ruppes!!! very costly
Too bad

Italian ??
Yes
Albe's Adv 👍
does not sound like an honest review.
+Deniz Erdem I really liked the bike, besides either way I have nothing to gain by making it look better than it is
Nice bike but poor quality.
jeans too loose. hahahaha
Wth
Made in India, but still not available in India.
This is not German beauty.. This is cheap because this is made in India.
