Hello! Awesome video! I had a fun day in my sewing room today and got lots done. Now I'm hand quilting and get to watch your video! I hope you have a beautiful and happy week ahead! Thank you for sharing this video, your time and expertise!
А я не поняла, на сколько см короче обтачка за горловину , горловина 32см ,а обтачку два раза пересмотрела и не поняла.Напишите как вы поняли, спасибо.
I don’t use a straight strip of fabric on a neckline anymore , I cut a circle of fabric, as a strip, so in essence, circular strip , the exact same size as the neck hole and now I don’t have problems anymore.🥰
May be lengthy straight stitch, than regular straight stitch ..... Lengthy stitch is loose enough to adjust with the stretchable thick layers of the neckline
Check into classes,. Perhaps thru your city. Or. Library. 😃♥️. Or call a fabric store,. There may b a person to give lessons. I learned in high school,. & Many classes after
Many years ago we called this stretch and sew and there were even fabric stores by the same name which also taught classes on sewing with stretch fabric. Happy memories. I made so many t-shirts I can't count them all. This was in southern California, usa. I don't know if the stores were in other countries. Thanks for the lesson.
@@debchambers8563 I guess they were just beginning to have stretch type fabrics widely available. I remember we had home economics in school and I made a polyester tunic. Men were wearing "leisure suits" at that time. But the stretch type fabrics were kind of a new invention I suppose.
Do you still sew? I live in Southern Calif and looking for help with my neck lines. I use a Baby Lock/ Molly & have a serger. I am still unsure how to adjust t-shirts that are just too low. I find it's fun to sew when I have time. :)
Buenos días, sabe maestra he vuscado éste tutorial hasta que di con ud, le agradezco grandemente acabo de poner mi sesgo en una blusa de yersy y me quedo hermoso, gracias por esos truquitos, desde Ecuador
Wow amazing video👌👌. I truly appreciate your work loved this video👍👍. Keep it up👍👍. I really love❤️ your content. I enjoyed while watching👀 your video. I 👍like👍 your style such a creative videos in your channel. Such amazing editing, keep it up and keep sharing.👍👍
de donde sale ese 12,6?? Osea mido el cuello, da 32cm de 32cm × 0,8 = 25,6cm / y luego sale el 12,6" × 0,8 = 10" eso de donde salio el 12,6😢 no entiendo esa parte del video 0:51 en esa parte🥺
Is the only difference between the 2 necklines that you used a topstitch? What sewing machine stitch did you use, a stretch stitch? Thank you for any advice you may provide. I really enjoy watching and learning from your videos.
No, its that you make a neck band roughly 85% of the length of your garment's neck circumference. Stretching the neck band as you sew. She gives you the equation in the video.
@@bhaskarkonduri3862 neck bands are a pain lol. The most success Ive had is the method in which you dont sew your folded band on directly, rather I start with right sides together sew short ends to create your band, dont fold the raw edges together yet, rather pin it right sides together to your garment, sew down about 1cm from edge, then iron that seam up, towards or on to the band, then take your neckband now and fold it over to the wrong side, leaving a visible fold of about 1cm, (it's up to the width but usually it ends up about a cm) pin and sew closed from the right side. You can stitch in the ditch or just along the seam, catching the band on the wrong side. When you done, carefully trim away the excess fabric on the wrong side, it will look neat if you don't rush. And don't skip the iron up part, it will ensure success. Sewing the folded neckband directly just isn't foolproof, this other method is very forgiving. Hope this helps. Happy sewing! 🌻🌷

32см умножаем на коэффициент 0.8 получается 25,6см на обтачку горловины
@@ЗинаидаОсокина-ь2ь я добавила комментарий: обтачка составляет коэффициент 0,8. 32см умножаем на 0,8
