Girl! Emily is growing up to be such a beautiful young princess. I see both of you in her. Hubby and I are huge advocates of raising kidddos on the farm and in a close relationship with nature. Knowing where our food comes from and having respect for our furry coworkers. Makes a good recipe for raising amazing adults with good heads and hearts. God bless you and your family ❤

I'm still mad at the attending physician who made me do a prep for a colonoscopy in a semi private room with a woman and her family just a curtain away and the hallway lined up with people waiting to be admitted to a room. (Edit: My only toilet was a bedside number. Looked like a walker with a commode seat and bucket bolted to it!) Something like that would only happen to me! If I hadn't been feeling so poorly, I would have staggered out into the hallway and sprayed their walls like a skunk! Bend over and do the hokey pokey, write the doctors name on the wall to let him know what I thought of him and his orders to keep me wired up to machines after drinking two bottles of Miralax. 😂 ⚡💩😱

Hi Crystal! I love watching your goats. They are so cute and have such great personalities. When are you going to tell us your breeding matches? Can't wait. Oh, I have a few flavor combo suggestions for this time of year. 1), coffee almond fudge, 2) tigers' tail, 3) peppermint fudge. And use black cocoa for the fudge in each of these. Tigers tail is the base is orange with fudge swirled through it. Peppermint is pink with the fudge swirled. And coffee almond fudge, coffee and almond base, fudge swirled through the coffee almond. I used to work in an ice cream shop that sold gourmet ice cream, and these were some of the most popular combos. Blessings!

I have extremely sensitive skin as well. If you ever do get brave enough to try goat milk soap I’d recommend to start by buying some plain without any added scents or dyes. If you do ok with that then try some of those with only natural color(like Crystal’s)& mild scents. Oatmeal or charcoal are good 2nd soaps to try as long as they don’t have heavy scents added. I’ve found goat milk soap really helps my skin. So figured I’d share what I did that worked since I have super sensitive skin as well. I actually can’t use any other type of bar/solid soap.
She has a “white gold” soap that is just plain goat milk soap. No scents or exfoliates, etc. Just plain goat milk soap. I have sensitive skin, and I tried it as one of my first soaps I bought, and it felt amazing on my skin, and allowed me to convince myself to try some of her other kinds. Hope that helps. 😊
So the goat show in our area was always at fair time. As far as I know it still is. I used to show my pack goats for exhibition only. We would set up an agility coarse, and 4-hers as well as the dairy goat folks would come and do a fun competition. Just a fun thing to do. I used to help handle goats in the ring for some of my friends. They all milked their goats daily and cared for their goats.

I don’t know who has more charisma. The humans, the cats, or the goats. Haha 😂 My cat had a perch that was at head height, and she would be in it most of the day, and I kid you not every time someone would walk past she would try to swipe you with her paws because we would want you to pet her. But then when you finally did pet her, she would bite you if you weren’t petting her right. 😂 We had to make her into a house cat a few weeks ago because it’s been so hot this past summer and especially recently, that she suffered heat stroke. So now we have to deal with her Siamese like crying at night. If you know cats, then you know what I’m talking about. 😂 Cant wait for breeding. It’s always an exciting time of year. Stay awesome. ❤
During the majority of their time, no. Breeding is hit or miss if they'll go out to browse. Those bucks tend to break through the electric fence more than the girls. They do get fresh forage as a substitute

Anyhow I love what all your family put so much effort around property. Your husband and son does a great job and Emily does a fantastic job in helping you with helping.
