Wheein left RBW in 2021 and Hwasa left RBW on June 30 this year. However they are still members of Mamamoo. Currently only the sub unit, Mamamoo+, is active. This sub unit consists of Solar and Moonbyul. They released their mini album Two Rabbits earlier this month. Wheein and Hwasa are completing their next solo albums and they should be released soon.

Generally the best approach is to watch their Killing Voice with Perfect Harmony, where they sing a verse each of many of their most famous songs. Then the Immortal Songs Medley, which is their ultimate vocal flex and then watch a guide. I prefer Purple Hawk's, but Moo YT's is more up to date. While Hwasa and Wheein have signed with other companies they have not disbanded and they have continued to perform together, most recently at the International Scout Jamboree in Korea. It will probably be a long time before we see new ot4 content but all of them have successful solo careets and Moonbyul and Solar are very active as Mamamoo+. Hwasa has been participating in a group called Dancing Queens where she and 4 other legends of kpop, who pushed boundaries, are touring together. Wan Sin and Um Jung Hwa in their 50's, Lee Hyori in her 40's, and Boa in her 30's. Some of them hadn't done live stages for a long time and it is wonderful watching them supporting each other.

I think a guide video might help to inoculate you to some degree against their hotness. As someone else mentioned, Purple Hawke's two part guide to the members is still the best but Moo YT's is more recent. Besides being stunning women who are almost universally considered to be the best female vocal group in kpop Mamamoo is also one of the goofiest groups around and their duality as serious artists vs total crackheads is legendary. I think it will help to get to know their personalities and some of their struggles individually and as a group. On stage Hwasa is incredibly charismatic with a fierce, intimidating, take no prisoners performance style but in real life as Ahn Hyejin she's a sweet, cuddly furball and is the most sentimental member of the group. As a singer Hwasa seems like a can't miss superstar diva whose sultry voice makes everything she sings sound sexy but she had a difficult time breaking into the industry and was rejected at auditions and bluntly told she was fat and ugly. The other members have similar stories - they're all audition rejects or retreads from other companies who were predicted to fail miserably when they debuted as the first group under the then tiny new label RBW. Mamamoo is one of the most fascinating and talented groups in kpop and I hope you check out more of their many group, solo and subunit songs and live performances - they're even better live than on record. Don't worry about their status as an active group. They've been going back and forth between group, solo and subunit activities over the past few years and you can expect to hear new material from them on a regular basis in one form or another. They are some of if not the hardest working people in the music biz. For example, last year they recorded and/or performed over 50 new original songs or covers as a group, solo or subunit and it was a year in which leader Solar was busy for about 6 months making her musical theatre debut and MMM was away on tour for the last 6 weeks or so, in addition to their work as models and brand representatives and their appearances as hosts, guests or contestants on tv and radio. This year the full group spent much of the first half touring Asia, the Pacific islands and the USA, the Solar/Moonbyul subunit Mamamoo+ released a 3 song single album and a 5 song mini-album, and the other two members will release solo albums in the next month or so.

Both guides are extremely well edited and highly entertaining besides being very informative so don't worry about the length. I guarantee you'll enjoy them and have fun while falling in love with each member (many moomoos can't pick a bias). Btw, they're never really apart - they just performed as a full group while the MMM+ subunit was in the midst of promotions for their new single and the two oldest and two youngest are pairs of best friends. Solar & Moonbyul are practically inseparable and Wheein & Hwasa have been bff's since middle school. The four of them believe they were destined to meet and become best friends even if they weren't singers and have several songs expressing those sentiments. 😂
