Fine three stone pendant set with natural diamonds weighing 1.82ctw in 18k.
The chain necklace is platinum, a robust carriage for the pendant.
We created two of these pendants, based on the simplest and perhaps most effective way of wearing diamonds - like water drops the diamonds move with or without light.
This is the bigger of the two pendants, diamonds weigh 0.9ct, 0.49ct, and 0.43ct.
They range in color from GH, with VS-SI clarity.
Their whiteness flow well in the arrangement, the focus is having size hence a ‘lofty’ presence on a pendant with only three stones.
Interestingly these three-stone diamond drops were seen on early Straits Chinese diamond pendants, with big diamonds on yellow gold ‘heirloom’ pendants.
Our contemporary eye is an Edwardian eye, using fewer diamonds and having each bigger, also seen in the accompanying earrings.
