It surprises me to hear how many rumors we hear about Space Godzilla. That kaiju appeared in the worst/or second worst Godzilla film in the Hesei era. I think it's pretty clear that the fans want Destroyah, Biollante and/or Gigan. I personally think Gigan or Biollante would make for the best villain in a stand-alone film with Destroyah used as an 'End Game' type of kaiju to finish a story arc.
What if: A bigger male ice Titan from Shimo's kind named Shimu poses a threat, Mothra died from Camazotz, a mv Space Godzilla like Titan haunts Godzilla trying to end hollow Earth, all the while mv Destroyah wrecks havoc on surface earth.

They made enough money to lease it at the box office plus some. That was their goal. Or they pull a fast one and save it for another team up film.
