Glad to see you get back into this mod. This one is my favorite, and I got into it because of your original run way back when. Anyway, there's some things that the game doesn't tell you that are good to know. The tournament betting is based on points, as you know, but you get points for different things, including surviving to the end, and being on the winning team. You can see a breakdown in the tournament menu. You might have observed that the third time you won, you did not get any money. That's because you did not get enough points for that. The settings you had the first time were good, just bid for one less point. There's this armor that is simply called "Plate Armor" which is incredible. 60 body armor makes it good even end game. You can get it for incredibly cheap, at around 6k or less. It has a plaid design near the bottom, you'll know what I mean when you see it. Crossbows are good, but you know what's better? Guns. Yeah, guns. The Firelock pistol (not the regular firelock) is the best in my opinion because you can still one shot people, but the reload time is very fast. You can craft a bag of 15 bullets early on, and you can purchase it from a firearms dealer in a tavern or win one in a tournament. Don't buy horses, you're likely to win a 2nd tier horse in a tournament. Dyeworks in Rivacheg is the only investment that is recommended. I don't recommend buying land and doing that whole thing because beating up on the aztecs is much faster. There's two aztec castles in the south, both start with 'T', they have the "Go to castle" button during sieges. You know what I mean. I really look forward to seeing what comes of this series. Good luck, have fun.
@@fishakoy3422 well, there's the combat abilities, a technological progression for kingdoms that unlocks better units, with guns and stuff, ships, the new world, better town management, the ability to customize troops and recruit them straight at high levels, crafting, etc. That's enough to warrant a download so you can figure out the rest.
The Noregr have the best infantry in the early game, but because they are Pagan they don't get the benefit of advancing in Tech tiers, so they get out scaled by the Nordic Union huscarls. By the late game, they're outclassed by most sergeants and other heavy infantry.
Great start, Reformist! I'm glad you chose Nova Aetas for your next series. And running two ironman challenges concurrently? You are indeed a brave individual. To add a bit to the great advice from Paritosh, the best tournament settings I personally have found are: 3 teams of 2, 75 florin wager, bid to earn 4 points (2 points if your team wins + at least 2 kills = 1200 florins, which means you will more than break even if you win even a single round.) Also, I'd recommend a one-handed, shield, enhanced weapon load-out. Much more versatile than lancing. Finally, tournaments get a lot easier once you have a few companions (who will participate by default and are much easier to kill than those blasted named champions). Best of luck in this series. Long live (the latest) Beartilde!
A suggestion. Dont use bad gear. Like crude or rusty prefix for armor. Easier to get it from sea raiders but it will eventually give you an "ugly" trait or something like that. And you really dont want it in the longrun. Better to wear something less good but without bad prefixes. Good luck 🤘
I’m on board with this crossbow idea, not often people run crossbows in warband, they’re normally pretty slow and take a while to get proficiency (due to firing less shots in a battle, sometimes the battle ends before expending half of your ammo)
D A idk. In vanilla I tend to prefer crossbow, or at least mixing crossbows with archers. A lot of times if the enemie is not clumped up and they are shielding, the archers expend all their arrows without doing much (admittedly you should probably micro manage when to fire) but high rank rhodok crossbows have good accuracy and consistency, so they are good in a grind. Especially when defending a castle/town.
Love all your mount and blade videos especially the prophecy of pendor videos as I'm doing it as well definitely has been helping me out with a few things
You have the potential, out of one city to get more income than native warband will give you out of four and i do not understand how somebody else hasnt come along and finished the mod
This is cool. I played nova aetas earlier but I had know idea what to do. I went to smithing school or something and I remember it was pretty difficult to get good units. But I played as atheist so that probably made things extra difficult. Also the city scenes were huge and it was pretty buggy. I don't know if that is still the case so I'm quite excited to see this series.
27:15: I don't know how I feel about that situation, on the one hand, it was comically ironic, on the other it was sooo frustrating. This is such an interesting mod, and with the healing, it will definitely be a different experience for the Ironman Challenge.
Reform I have a question in shadow of reven quest are their any different reactions between the sith warrior and the emperor and do you think you will ever play the quest with the sith warrior
Just curious, did you ever play The eagle and Radiant Cross? It was an older mod but it was a total conversion with a totally different map and a late middle age/early rennaisance. If you haven't it might be a good one in the future
Don't you need to attack with the lance? I mean, it looks like your just riding up towards them, I seem to remember doing that in normal warband which was the tricky part, timing the attack of the lance at the right second.
Riding without using the attack button with a lance causes it to become "couched" and any time you hit an enemy with the point of the lance, you deal a lot of damage at full speed.
@@ReformistTM Ah yeah, I think I was thinking of the spear, since it's what I sometimes used early on due to it's nice speed bonus. It's been awhile though.
I havent played this mode ( yet ) but if soldiers/knights are useing heavy armor / medium armor it would be great to spec on to " one heanded weapons " and go for a AXE with a long handle . 150 proficiency is more than enaugh .
My go to set up for modes that tend to go around realistic play is : Nord Huscarls , Vaegir Archer / Rhodoks Crossbowmen and ( haha ofcourse ) Swadian Knights .
I thought Aetas pertaining to the native tribe of the Philippines. It has the same spelling but different pronunciation though. Aetas tribe is pronounce as "Ai-Tas"
I recommend checking out the Pendor series for an explanation of the rules: ua-cam.com/video/_F9VqFdg3Fo/v-deo.html Otherwise, it basically means that if your character reaches 0 HP, it's game over. (Except in some circumstances.)
Sorry, forgot to mention that Pendor is still going on, I have not died. Just wanted to try out Ironman in Nova Aetas. Thanks for watching!
Lol, just went to watch to last vid again just in case I missed something crucial :)
I love you Reformist lol no homo 😂 you're the best mount and blade UA-camr there is
whew, thats what i thought i soon as i saw this
Do you think you might do Floris? its been ages since I seen a play threw. Please
@@queensheza7375 I'd recommend Floris Evolved in this case. Takes everything that's great about Floris, then improves it.

Paritosh Deshpande thanks for the giant comment. I agree with every word in it.
This is my favourite mod too.
can you tell me what makes this mod unique from the others?

By the time Zendar and my formerly Rhodock properties get muskets huscarls are outdatet. XD
so do the nord
Reformist: uploads new ironman series

Generally speaking though, it’s not often that people go with crossbows, they’re a lot less popular as it takes longer to level crossbow proficiency
Please do more of this series. The last nova aetas series i watch every episode.
This is my favourite warband mod so please carry on with it.
A yes vote to continue this and Pemdor series. Especially enjoy the tips and explanations of game mechanics. Thanks!
Love all your mount and blade videos especially the prophecy of pendor videos as I'm doing it as well definitely has been helping me out with a few things
Nova Aetas is by far the most broken in the players favor and i love it i cannot enjoy very many other mods after it
All that property you can own, once you have one mansion rented out the game begins to snowball in incredible ways
You have the potential, out of one city to get more income than native warband will give you out of four and i do not understand how somebody else hasnt come along and finished the mod
I think imma cry if you die in this series. I’ve missed nova aetus 😭
after the Ironman in Pendor, this feels like shifting to "very easy" from "normal" on an old ps1 game XD
Did you died in Pendor? What happened?
Pendor is still on going, no death. Will be uploading the next episode tomorrow!
Noregr actually just means Norway. Twas called that by its people during the viking age.
I still can't get myself to play BL over WB. I still can't let go
dude i love this mod as the only renaissance mod off the top of my head, but this mod is a GOD DAMN SLOG
Please tell me you'll play with the Agonic Order!!!
Please dont stop playing Pendor ironman because of this
Does religion cause morale drops if your troops are of different religions? Either different from you or each other.

Getting started is always the hardest part
23:30- Do troops have the abilities too?
As far as I remember, I don't think they do. But I could be wrong. Sorry I can't be of more help!
27:15: I don't know how I feel about that situation, on the one hand, it was comically ironic, on the other it was sooo frustrating.
This is such an interesting mod, and with the healing, it will definitely be a different experience for the Ironman Challenge.
Damn it is so good to see you play this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can you other mods after installing Nova Aetas?
because you have to replace some files where the .exe is
Love that Norway is known for badass mercenary viking warriors from our Viking age.
Reform I have a question in shadow of reven quest are their any different reactions between the sith warrior and the emperor and do you think you will ever play the quest with the sith warrior

I absolutely love this mod!
Mod looks great thanks for the content
i hope new update comes for this mod. In my opinion the best warband mod
Awesome video. Did you play MB enchanted version?
you could mention how you removed the enb before you started playing, I had to search for it on google to remove that crap!
Caps + F12
Hey reformia which Mount and blade mod is the best in your opinion
This must be the most handsome version of beartilde
why did youtube only recommend this now
Isn't Nova Aetas broken? Like does it just always give you bad traits.
Cyan Blue no

How about do Warsword Conquest?
Enjoyed this so more please
Noob question alert.
How does everyone get the ''flag'' for holding the position?
I cant seem to find it in options or in mods... :
Hold F1. A lot of people ask this question, don't feel bad :)
I havent played this mode ( yet ) but if soldiers/knights are useing heavy armor / medium armor it would be great to spec on to " one heanded weapons " and go for a AXE with a long handle . 150 proficiency is more than enaugh .
Play Warsword Conquest with the Iron man challenge.
I love your videos. I learn game and language ^^ Greetings from Poland :)
Wait does this mode have guns if yes use it.
Thought this was a for honor vid from the thumbnail lol
The music is reaally loud, maybe a little lower would be better. Anyways great vid
Do an iron man challenge in Sparta
My go to set up for modes that tend to go around realistic play is : Nord Huscarls , Vaegir Archer / Rhodoks Crossbowmen and ( haha ofcourse ) Swadian Knights .
So the standard mixture everybody has been using for the past 12 years...

Norge/Noreg is norway and you mispronounced it so bad😂
(Noregr is its ancient norse name)
Join Rhodoks! I love your videos!
You sound really bored xD I hope your having fun
That's just his voice and I mean that in the best way possible lol

Yes, that's the rule of the Ironman Challenge. Please see here for full rules: ua-cam.com/video/_F9VqFdg3Fo/v-deo.html
Did my comment drive you to do this lol.
Ave Maria!!!
Wtf, pendor is over? Are u going to do both ironman challenges?
You might want to watch out ,i think that music is copyrighted
Whats an iron man challenge?
I recommend checking out the Pendor series for an explanation of the rules: ua-cam.com/video/_F9VqFdg3Fo/v-deo.html
Otherwise, it basically means that if your character reaches 0 HP, it's game over. (Except in some circumstances.)
