As a WVU fan, I don't think I've ever been more proud of another team than I have this Baylor squad. I had my green and gold on during that national championship game. You guys really made the BIG 12 proud.
To sum it up this was the most technically sound team I have seen in quite some time. It was hard to find a weakness in any area and as a basketball fan they were a joy to watch. I hope all of them continued success.
They were the best three point shooting team and #5 in offensive rebounding which was huge, cuz not many teams are even close to a top offensive rebounding team if they are good at three point shooting
I’ve been saying this Baylor team was one of the all-time great teams, it’s rare to see the best 3 point shooting team in the country be an average offensive rebounding team (most end up being bad to awful offensive rebounding teams) but Baylor was top 5 in that category, add in being top 5 in creating turnovers and you get this juggernaut Baylor team. Props to Gonzaga for their season tho, they had a great season with a bad ending, it’s unfortunate for them but they’ll be back.
@@harjeevanparwana4777 yea, all the games were near me so me and my family decided to go to a bunch of them, plus the tickets were rlly cheap, except the championship game, that was expensive, but anyways it was worth it
After every NCAA tournament, most of the basketball legends talk about how the teams they played with would have easily beaten the tournament champions. This season- crickets, because the insane defensive speed and strength of this Baylor team hasn’t been seen before, and would have been a tough out in any era. Charles Barkley said it best: “This Baylor team scares me!”

Baylor had a very special team that executed with precision all season long - and that starts at the top with Baylor's Head Coach Scott Drew and his asst coaches who led a team of winners into a winning team, season and National Championship. Congratulations Baylor Bears - 2021 National Champions - and Sic 'em Bears, on to a 2nd National Championship in 2022?!?
By definition, any national champion is one of the best ever. They're in elite company because there's only ten of them in a decade (only 9 in this decade, actually). That said, the level of play overall this year was noticeably less than normal, probably due to covid, so it's hard to compare this to other years.
I picked Baylor at the start because of that video you made as to why you thought they were better than the zags, (ignore the rest of bracket the champ was right)
Are you trying to tell me they would have gone undefeated if they didn’t get COVID...? I’m a Baylor fan and was in attendance when they lost to Duke in the elite 8, and for the past decade I always felt they were on the cusp but it’s unreal to think that they got it done with so much (seemingly) ease. It took them 1 big run to get it done which is something to marvel considering teams like Gonzaga stay at the top EVERY year but are yet to win.
I started watching in 2009 as well and followed UNC! The way that they blew out and dominated everyone else and the score at halftime definitely reminded me of the 2009 Tar Heels! Love both UNC and Baylor!
Congrats to Baylor! Also, how about a video on Soccer style promotion and relegation. And that way North American sports should embrace it. We’re entering the home stretch of the European season and promotion and relegation battles are beginning to brew across Europe.
Arguably the best team the modern era (one and done era), remember before the early 2000's most top players stood in college for three to four years. So historically there probably are a lot of better teams
That's funny, and loved what they did to Villanova in this years tourney! The 2018 team played exactly NO ONE with a defense like the Bears played this year.
@@donwandling1478 hahaha..... different players and this year's nova team wasn't that good and were missing 2 starters on top of that...it was a flawed season anyways.. everyone knows if it wasn't for covid and if it was just a regular season outcomes would of been different...that nova team was seriously better than this year's Baylor team....Baylor would of been blasted by all 6 3 point shooters...wouldn't of mattered about Baylor's defense when nova passed the way they did...nova would of beat Baylor...Baylor played in a * season.

The passion and trust with in the Baylor team, the skill, and depth of the team would beat villanova. Baylor had 9 players that could start and were all interchangeable. They shoot lights out and Baylor's no middle defense with the way they help could be to much for them to handle. Mark Vital has a sense of where the ball is going to land.
