The helper did everything he was supposed to do. He screams because it’s a courage test for the dog and he starts getting out of the way because if they gripped properly, it would make for a safe catch. Everyone is missing the fact that it’s a right handed helper, and the dogs aren’t used to it. For them, the sleeve has always been on the other side.
This is definitely a decoy problem. I don’t remember exact names of these dogs but I remember when first watching it at the time of 2017, they were dogs from different countries. In IGP, and many dog sports at this worlds level, not often are the dogs even on the same team from the same “training program” for ex: Team USA is usually many different states representing. The decoy was not catching these dogs very well and you can hear booing/disappointment in the crowd. I feel sorry for these dogs and handlers bc they worked so hard to get there and the decoy was honestly a dick
Helper jumps every time dog is closing ,he cannot do that in real competition there must be prepared posture when missile is coming and catch movement with flow of the dog

@@royal9717 Hast Recht schade das meine "asoziale" Schäferhündin nicht dabei gewesen die hat immer die "Puppe" in visier gehabt und gebissen wo nur erreichen könnte (darum für Sport ungeeignet gewesen ) :D
doesn't seem like a very good decoy, he's dodging the dogs instead of inviting them, the screaming is high pitched which is a noise most decoy handlers don't make (mostly men), and that seems to be putting them all off as if they are recognising it as a woman or child & therefore stop the attack and get confused. could be the dog's nerves but with that many struggling, I'd say it's the helper/decoys fault.
