- this is my first time having stuff damaged by movers, but thankfully it's just furniture and nothing expensive! anyway, here's a little vlog setting up the primary! building the king bed, setting up the sleep number mattress, and failing at buying nuts and screws lol.

Girl! If you have renters insurance, claim EVERYTHING that was moved! Everything I owned was damaged or completely broken when I moved to NC. I had to replace EVERY SINGLE THING! I was renting at that time and they replaced everything down to the broken plates!
I subscribed to you “back in the day” to help me learn how to make content. My daughter is 3 and I am now really relating to your mom content. I love that your channel isn’t all about him but does include the struggle sometimes. It is all just really admirable. Even if you think you’re not doing enough, you’re doing more than enough. Finding a balance between keeping a level of privacy and also sharing your life is so complicated. You’re killing it! All moves require an adjustment period especially with small children. We aren’t rushing you! But thanks for being so dedicated to the content 🫶🏻

CM has stated she respects her family and friends about not wanting to be on camera but that doesn't or shouldn't stop her from sharing the wonderful life and memories she is making with them...after so much sadness from previous relationship...seeing her happy and in love and looking forward to a future as a family is a very good thing. Would love to hear more.

The best thing we ever did was give our kid an old point and shoot camera and tripod. From about the time she was 2 she would just take silly videos of her toys and her singing ❤ priceless
Don't get down on yourself over not producing as much as you want. It's the season you're in. Those early days are literally crazy busy...like so busy every non-mother would think we were making up all the stuff we have to do. I remember when every 60-90 seconds one of the littles needed something and I felt like nothing was ever done. The laundry was always piling up, the dishes on both sides of the sink were always piling up, the house needed to be sanitized with clorox wipes, and so on. Of course at one point, we had all three babies in diapers and I was putting myself on the back burner and it was tough, tough, tough. You're doing such a great job! Whatever videos you can make we will all love to watch. And if you don't post on a certain day or certain week, we will know why. I literally don't know how I survived on zero sleep for like 5 years straight. You've got this though!
P.S. (Don't forget to once in a great great while get a manicure, or have your man watch the little one so you can get an hour break. It helps to keep from going insane...kind of). :)

I don't know what the laws are in the US. In Australia movers have to have insurance, and we can take out extra. And Consumer Affairs is very proactive in dealing with this sort of thing. Do you have a similar govt body you can lodge a complaint with? And yeah, put in a formal complaint to the moving company manager - see if they are willing to do something to fix their stuff up.

I think we all need to be kinder to ourselves. Cathrin you have a lot of things going on, and moving cross country is hard. And you have the cutest baby, so working around his schedule is also hard. I have none of that and I still manage to forget shit when in The stores, and I cannot tell you how many times I have had to go back to the hardware store because I had gotten the wrong thing. You will get set up and in a schedule and things will all be fine. Big hugs girl Being a military spouse is not easy!
Reach out through your Tmo office and file a claim. And try to recoup some of your loss. But military movers are the worst especially when they are left to their own devices. Wait till yall do an oconus(overseas) move and your movers don’t speak English!! 🤣🤣 I can confirm it’s super fun and would do it every time!! Hahaha

Girl, it's okay to be mad. I would be MAD. Sure, things can be fixed and/or replaced, but...moving people's stuff IS THEIR JOB. They should be doing better.
Military movers. They do this all the time so you’d they be better at it, but they’re also in a hurry. You know the old adage, “haste makes waste”!
I love all your content. Maybe consider bringing your vlog channel back. On this channel maybe make informative and educational content as it relates to how to create a life a love. Your a natural talker and teacher lean into that.
@michel Janse on here UA-cam moved from Austin to Oceanside and her movers damaged so much damaged so much of her beautiful furniture and the compensation was atrocious but just the damage in the first place is so bad. I think this is something you should totally call on your community for, who have you used and loved when it comes to moving 😉 you know they’ll have all the details

We had SO much of our furniture destroyed 2 years ago in our military move. Definitely not fun to deal with. Sorry you're going through it!

So as military, you don’t have to use the military movers we never have. There is a way that you can sign up and you get a budget for what the military pays the movers and if you do a U-Haul or you pay somebody else, whatever is left of that budget you get to pocket.
We have done U-Haul and we’ve also done a company called u pack where they drop off a semi and you pack it. They drive it to the location then you unpack it and that has probably been the best bang for our buck!

You are doing a lot better then I feel you give yourself credit for. I enjoy your vlogs and as far as the tips and structure, maybe just continue to do it vlog style and just continue to share tips in a way that feels the most natural to you still being in vlog format.
Kind of like when you did a video and mentioned how you were about to start journalling again. You gave tips in that setting and it didn't require anything extra for you to do. It was more of a conversation.

If they are military moves you can put in a claim with the military to recoup cost for what they damaged. It is a process but you can get some money for the damage.

Movers suck..I’ve had so many things stolen..in order to make sure things don’t get too damaged you have to watch them and tell them how to pack it…(unfortunately). You’ll get used to it
