    All I know is the farmers in Arizona say that they went to JT-6 and stopped replacing parts and pins and bearings. A friend put regular grease on his hand and could wash it off with soap and water after a few minutes. JT-6 he said he couldn’t get it off without using solvent and Orange goop and that was a chore.

      Thanks Jeremy! A lot of our heavy duty customers say the same thing! Less time to worry about regreasing that fifth wheel and other parts.

      I can second that. The more cussing I have to do to wash off grease or lubrication, the better I know it is

    Thanks for explaining all the different types and applications. I have to check my last tube of grease I bought when I repacked my front Disk brake wheel bearings. Might have to repack them after this video. Cheers from Motown.

    Excellent video!!! Thank you! However, one topic was forgotten: When and why would someone select and use a synthetic grease over a petroleum-based grease?

    Been trying to find a good synthetic grease. Red Line hardens up, Mobil 1 separates, gonna try Mystic.

    Don't keep the high temp grease in a gun too long in temps exceeding 95 F. It partially turns into a liquid for a real messy gun. Makes me wonder about it's suitability in high temp applications.

    LUCAS MARINE GREASE MY #1 GO2
    I had a torn inner boot drivers side on my 2002 Toyota Corolla and it was making bumby and vibration on acceleration. By reading and searching on the internet I tried two full tubes of marine grease and injected it into the spider bearings and the other tube in the boot and closed it up. Took it for a small spin and the vibration faded away within 20 seconds once I hit the HWY Freeway. Took it up to 150 km/per Hour for 30 seconds and dropped it to 130 km/Hr for 30 minutes.
    AMAZING!
    LUCAS MARINE GREASE IS A MIRACLE! IT HAS BEEN NIW 3 MONTHS AND SMOOTH AS PIE.
    I could not go more then 60 km or it would vibrate. On acceleration it would vibrate.
    Before replacing your CV Joint, try LUCAS MARINE GREASE!!!

    Thanks for the well done video ! I have a boat trailer that the bearings are imersed in salt water. I believe that when wheel hubs that are warm[travling to the launchsite] are imersed in water that the water can be sucked past the inner seal if there is any void and contaminate the hub etc. Do you have any info that would support that asumption? your thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks again

      Thanks for the information. I am also wonder about the JT-6 Sythentic Blend #2 How would it preform in a gear box? Thanks for the information and your video is quite informative.

    • @mystiklubricants
      @mystiklubricants  6 років тому +1

      Glad the information is helpful! Gear boxes typically require greases that are softer in consistency than a #2 grease. If the gear box requires a #2 grease, the performance of Mystik JT-6 Synthetic Blend #2 in a gear box would depend upon the design of the gear box, input and output speeds and the load on the gear box. Feel free to give us a call at 1-800-248-4684 on our product answer line if we can assist further!

      Gary -- Without knowing the exact lawn equipment it's hard for us to make a specific recommendation but you can always call us on our Lubes Help line at 1-800-248-4684 and if you tell us the specific piece of equipment, we could provide a recommendation. We also recommend that you consult your owner’s manual for proper grease selection. If this information is not available, you may wish to consider using Mystik JT-6 Hi-Temp Grease No. 2.

    what's the difference (if any) between silicone grease vs. dialectic grease????

    • @mystiklubricants
      @mystiklubricants  5 років тому +3

      A “dielectric grease” is a grease which does not conduct electricity. It is used to lubricate and protect electrical connections without conducting electricity across multiple connections. Some dielectric greases use silicone fluid as the base oil for the grease. In short, some, though not all, dielectric greases are silicone based, though not all silicone based greases are dielectric greases. Hope this helps!

    I need EP2 lithium grease for my wheel bearings...What’s this mean compared to NGLI 0, 1, or 2? I have an off road on road Land Rover that I want to maintain as well as possible overseas. Can you help me understand?

    • @mystiklubricants
      @mystiklubricants  6 років тому +3

      An EP2 Lithium grease means an Extreme Pressure, NLGI #2 grease with lithium as the base grease. NLGI also has a code on the label, LB/GC, that means that grease is approved for wheel bearings and disc brakes. We would recommend a lithium complex grease as they are made for high temperature where a plain lithium grease is not. The Mystik JT-6 Hi Temp would be a good recommendation for you. If you have more questions, give us a call on our product answer line at 1-800-248-4684 - would be happy to help you and answer your questions in more detail!

    Which grease would you recommend for an ar 15 bolt? Assuming it will be a high speed high temperature grease. Thanks

    • @mystiklubricants
      @mystiklubricants  6 років тому

      There are some very good UA-cam videos for cleaning and lubricating the AR 15. There are several opinions on what grease to use, however at this time, we do not manufacture a grease that would be recommended for that application.

      Use an oil not a grease. 10w30 or whatever is on your shelf is perfectly fine. It's a gun designed to be beat to death and still work. Adding oil of any kind other than rem oil, which is as thin as mineral spirits, will do the trick.
