This and when apps/websites ask for a numeric input but the WHOLE keyboard pops up and not intelligently just the numeric pad. It is absurd that this still happens considering the keyboard now can understand when a site has emailed you a with code and can copy and paste it. Lol I let out a lil scream everytime this happens 😂

Nobody is forcing you to do anything. Don’t want the big AI, get a plain iPhone 15 or older or just stay with your current iPhone and don’t update to iOS 18, stay on 17. Or just take the update, enjoy the AI enhanced regular apps. You don’t have to update anything else, nobody’s holding you hostage to do so. It’s your choice.

It’s NOT Obsolete!! Jesus, it can run iOS 17 just fine and most of iOS 18 just fine too. You can run ChatGPT in a browser for a decent experience but you won’t get the fully integrated Apple Intelligence without at least an iPhone 15 Pro model or later. So enjoy what you’ve got, it’ll work well and last at least 5-6 years of full OS support and just be missing the very latest features that come with upgrading hardware. Always your choice to decide if you want the latest software and hardware capabilities and Apple and carriers will still give you decent trade in for you current iPhone. Again, your decision.

That means there is a screenshot/video database somewhere on the device. Or some sort of scraper that constantly scans for and stores info from what it sees on screen, then stores the text for later use. Disaster for privacy

Waiting it out with a company like OpenAI is smart. There is likely going to be a new model by Q1 of next year. Also I bought a Pixel 7 Pro thinking I would get on device AI with their Tensor G2 chip(since it supports OS updates till 2025, maybe?), but I likely would need to upgrade to get access to on-device AI with Google. These first gen AI devices will have some bugs, but if you're an early adopter, go for it! The security is questionable for sure though. Especially with Microsoft's Rewind feature.
Asking for weather is not important. Asking AI to summarize my calendar, prioritize tasks, create idea for fun time with family, etc are real gamechanger.

Around 2011 I purchased the iPhone SIRI was introduced on. Today Apple prevents me from turning that phone on. I own Samsung Phones now. Not a perfect experience but I am allowed to turn them on.
