Chasing shadows in a grocery line... I took to mean thinking you see that person everywhere. I've been through breakups and remember thinking I'd see my ex everywhere (especially the store). A dark haired guy in line far ahead and my pulse would quicken, until I would see the profile. Not him and my heart rate would slow back down.
