I definitely appreciate the kind comment. I hit fourteen years on 03/21/2024. Original life expectancy was five years and likely to never get out of a wheelchair. Proved both of those wrong. Even did a video for the Show Us Your Steak challenge, Haze did a few years ago. Carpe Diem everyday.🤙
Pushing hard every day amigo. I might even start doing videos again, to show other survivors(warriors) that one shouldn’t put all their faith in a prognosis. 🤙
Am not a rambling tenting type of person but love watching your videos a honest and genuine man with the same problems has a lot of us fighting our way through life
At 65 now, also wondering how long before i cant make it up the mountains, time passes far to quick , i hope that i have at least another 10 years left! Try not to think about it, as you say one day this might not be possible, but when that time comes I know the world will be a much smaller place.
Same for me, I’m sixty six in a few months but I’ve got the WHW in my sights next month before I fall off my perch. I’ll do it until I drop. Good luck with your own health and hikes. 💪
Your camera-work, editing skills and most importantly your northern chat and banter are always worth waiting for (regardless of how often you post!). You put a smile on peoples faces so just be proud of that mate 😀😀😀
Super happy to see you having a better time of it in this video! One thing's for sure, you're a stronger being now than before you slept in that puddle. That shit builds character. Keep on keeping on, brother.
Something you said recently in one of your other videos.... someting about not needing a flat spot big enough for your whole tent, just one big enough for your body.... really made a difference to my mindset in finding a cozy spot to sleep on my last hike. And this time, with the spot and the rocks, I think I'd have slept like a daggone log there. I love all your trip videos. Love your swims, your voice, your joy in the outdoors. Kinda feeling stalkerish right now, ha! Thanks for taking the time to film and upload these. Truly enjoy them.
Mate, dont worry about how regular you upload, i think most people know what it takes and if youre not feeling it, then so be it. Health comes before anything. Those boots look the business and good to know you haven't got blisters from them. Nice tent too! Keep it real, atb 🙂
When ever you post, what ever the intervals,we appreciate and enjoy every one.If theres a gap in you posting we take the opportunity to watch any of your previous adventures. JUST DO WHAT YOU DO we enjoy them all.
Your one of the only you tube channels I've continually watched. I've watched your videos when I've been down and it lets me escape for a few moments. If you upload once a month or 3 times a month you will always have an audience. I just want to thankyou for the content and helping me too . 😊
Hi. im new to your channel but really love the content your sense of humour and relentless approach to overcoming adversity.. Im now catching up on your back catalogue of vlogs and look forward to your future experiences. As someone who experiences mobility issues you open up a window i rarely see. thx so much, phil
A Tesco bag? That's glamping. Proper hardcore campers use a Gregg's sausage roll paper bag as a shelter and fashion a Cadbury Creme Egg foil wrapper into an alcohol stove
No worries about your upload schedule. You have a lot going on within your own mind. Also your content is worth the wait, even if you don't think so yourself. I can tell you are a very great caring person, which is why I always come back whenever you upload anything. Much love to you and your noodle. Hope you find the path that brings you the happiest noodle on earth.
Enjoyed this one Hazey. Listen mate, it matters not how often you upload, ramble on about shite, wear things you think naff, indulge in things that you think we may like. What matters most is how you are doing and enjoying your existence. Stay safe mate.
Nice to see you smiling again Mr Haze. Another super video, and great scenery. Thanks for all your time, effort not just the hiking but time it takes you to edit the videos.... Long may you enjoy TGO
I treasure your insight. These old legs have taken their last hike in the mountains. My time in nature is now, and hopefully for years will be, with Haze Outdoors. Thank you for your gift 💕
This is the most heartwarming comment I’ve received in a long time. This inspires me more than you know and I really do appreciate it mate, thank you 🙏
You touched a note in me.... One day was my last day in the mountains... I don't really recal it... But had I realised ... I'd have been emotional about it
Joy! A video with no rain😂 After the year we’ve had I’ve started looking for “fair weather campers” on UA-cam 😂😂 Thankfully you put this one out just in time ❤
Was reading a book the other day and some chef and a guy who won best Barista in the world were testing the smaller cheaper coffee making appliances and they both agreed the Aero Press makes the best coffee, the Barista even said he uses one at home so I'm going to get myself one as I love a good coffee when camping, it's funny seeing you mention the weather, I'm quite lucky as I live in Snowdonia which I often feel makes it much easier to pick and choose weather conditions, I'll quite often do a cheeky overnighter midweek if the weather is mild, you were lucky to spot a rare snow cock 'n balls too!
Do it, they’re great. I’ve had my aeropress for over 10 years. Picked one up at a coffee festival in London many moons ago. Check out UA-cam videos on how to use it. There’s several ways. All are good 👍🏼
Aww you're a top fella Paul, it's always great watching your videos. Solid choice with the boots, i've tried em all over the years and i'm now in a pair of Altberg Knordkapps and they're the best by far, i can thoroughly recommend Altberg. Don't you stop doing you, our time in the hills does indeed come to an end at some point. Mines not far off and it's gonna be hard not being able to get up high and pitch up to watch the sun go down with a cold one in hand, but i've got around 30 years of adventures banked to fondly look back on. Take care my UA-cam friend, much love.
Hazey, you - and you're videos are brilliant. You're a fantastical emotional person which is probs why you question yourself - you are an AMAZING human !! If the world was full of people like you, the world would be a much better place ! All comes down to what we are looking for in life, you are NATURE - you should also be head of bloody outdoor education/wellbeing classes in schools ! I'll say it, we all Love you 🙂 !!!
Thanks for this - a perfect video: funny, entertaining, great footage & double friendly. You don't have to apologise to us. We are happy with whatever you can give us. Agreed, waking up early & getting out for a walk (with no one else around) when camping is the best bit.
Spot on @HAZY! Glad you went back and had a better night! Hazephilosophy - tick Gate - tick Beer - tick Moonset and sunrise - tick Chunkdunk - maybe next time...
Good to see you out again Hazey man. This vid along with the last one certainly shows the two sides of mother nature. She was definitely kinder to you this time matey. Keep smiling and stay strong dude 😊
Top video, I remember crossing windy gap. Yep it was flippin windy alright! There's a windy ridge on Cairngorm as well, yep can confirm that's flippin windy as well!
I'm never going to be able to climb in the Lakes again, so Hazelbloke's vids are a wonderful way to escape up there, even if it's only half an hour. Much appreciate all your efforts Hazey, come rain or shine mate. Cheers! Where's 'tut dog mate?
remember calling you 'soppy bollock!' on here many moons ago(trying to be a smart-arse!). lmao that it stuck in your sub-conscious!!! still my fav YT'er of all time! and wish i could repay the joy and vicarious adventures you have taken me on!! Luv ya bro!!
So nice to see you going out and just enjoying yourself. You inspire me to hike. My lanshan Pro 2 arrived today, and off your recommendations, I bought the Naturehike light weight backpack. So i am now looking forward to doing the southdowns way in May. I rewatched your southdowns vids today, so i am super excited now. Take care. X
Make the most of it marra, theres ANOTHER storm coming in for the next few days, 60mph winds forecast here in western lakes......maybe shouldnt raffle off that Hilleberg 😉😁
Tip for cooking and titanium/metal pots with folding metal handles. Carry some 3mm guyline in your cooking kit, takes few seconds to furnish it into a handle by wrapping first lenght vertically upright along the handles meeting point then around and down the 2 metal handles, as long as you don't get the handle directly in the flame (which you never do anyway) , it will keep you from burning your fingers every time and safer than a cloth grip. Also Hazey - you might like the MSR metal adapter, makes it alot more stable and lower CoG. Safe travels.
The silence in the morning and waking up to amazing views are why I do it. Whether it being in a hammock, bivi, tent or just sleeping with no shelter in summer. I love every bit of it 👌🏻🏕️
Great video Hazy never seen you smile so much great to see. My wife has a pair of altbergs about 10 years now hey we’re so comfy with no breaking in. Great boots. 🙏🙏
What a difference to the last ☔️☔️☔️. Great route. Didn’t look like you had the tent with you to start; should have known better. Lovely Tea Cosy 😭. No aeropress link 🤣. Ordered one anyway as been on the list for ages. Views down to Buttermere was worth it all. Good commenting on fitness levels as many under estimate the miles and forget they need to save energy for the getting down and back. Top tip attaching guy rope to backpack. Glad you finally purchased new boots 🥾 🥾s. Looking forward to the next one. Take care
Genuinely so nice to see you smiling like that at the end mate, looked like that hike did a world of good. And the views in the morning!! Great video Paul , appreciate your efforts as always 👍🏼👍🏼
It happened a few weekends ago, me and a buddy were on Snowdonia hiking/camping filming for UA-cam and the next minute he’s fallen to his death. Tragic never take anything for granted bud and enjoy while you can 💔
Wouldn’t worry about consistent content, those that do weekly and jeez! daily gets very repetitive. When a Haze vlog drops you know it’s going to be fresh and welcome. Only down side is for you and your revenue but evidently that’s not what drives you. Also I have always spent my days wandering the fells pondering on the inevitable that one day I won’t be able to do this. At 53 the last few years things are just dripping off and that scenario is feeling very tangible. I’ll keep on trucking but yep it’s sad. Keep doing what you do, it’s very valued.
Hazey with that aero press if u put the plunger in first and turn the whole thing upside down with out the filter on and make your brew upside down, it has longer to brew.
I’ve been within two hundred yards of that spot a few times. The views down into Ennerdale and Buttermere are brilliant and it’s an easy hike from Honister.
Excellent video, such a contrast from the last. Glad to see you using the Aeropress! I've been using one for nearly 15 years. I use it a different way which I was shown and is much better, if you read this I'll be glad to tell you how 😏 great they have that travel size one now too.
Absolutely love your vids mate. You've got that tough British spirit in you & when things get tough! Kick your own ass. And for the mental health aspect iv heard U mention. As U say it's about just start walking & you loss yourself with your surroundings. I also love the latch n locks on gates as I was brought up in a hut living life like they did before electricity ( tin bath wth hot water from fire, mum using wash board & old mangle ringer to dry, crosscut saw wth dad wheelbarrow all wood bk to hut, veg garden, foraging. Thanks for giving me some motivation to get out there more your right we dont know how long we have left of the ability to do these sort of things just made me think, 👍
Thanks for showing me the views from Great Gable - evert time i have been up there it has has been 0% visibility and compass bearing to exit! I love my alt bergs :)
Hazey your one of the best mate, you give me the kick to get out there. Still struggling with a half broken ankle still but god dam i need some blues an greens
Thanks for the views, although I loved the last video too. Like you say, we all have times to kick our own arses, but times to be kind to ourselves as well. Glad you didn’t go over the waterfall! Upload only when you’re feeling it, it’s always worth the wait. Plenty of loyal fans who don’t mind how long between them. Peace Brother.
Silica pouches are for absorbing moisture and when placed in food, are labelled as a risk due to being a choking hazard. They aren't poisonous at all but don't use them as a salt substitute. Hard times.
So brilliant to see you smiling in glorious Technicolor! I love all your vids but I felt so much for you when the rain was hammering down. Keep going Hazy! I hope to manage to climb up to the tops one day soon myself …
What a contrast to the last video. Dry, Beautiful scenery and as always, great entertainment. Felt like I was there with you. I got too wet on the last one.
Good to see a north yorkshire lad smashing it! Keeping that Black Dog at bay (I know the feeling). Much love from an ex North Yorkshire now Driffield lad!!
I was at Dartmoor last weekend . I was going to stay but it would be like putting tent up on swamp !! Bugger that.. Also went to do a little swim , however when I tested the water it must have been about 2C .. so again , bugger that ! LOve the vids , keep it up and be safe fella !
kicked me self out of bed Bank holiday Monday ..day camp with hammock in woods ..great head clearer lol and always look forward to your uploads pal weather weekly, monthly ....it don't matter how long lol, its always worth the wait for them 👍
I turn my aeropress up the other way and you can leave the coffee soak without it coming through the filter. Also helps to put a drop of water in the black filter before popping in the filter sheet 😅
Yet another excellent video! Great to see you looking so happy (although you were really lucky with the weather!) stay well, and thanks for the content!
Good tip in general but it doesn't work super well with the Go version cos it's already pretty short so you can only get a thimblefull of water in there like that

Love the video mate. My favorite is the C n B in the snow. I choked on my beer when I saw that. Much love from Wisconsin.🍺
Excellent, a new video from Haze will definitely make day 51 of chemo a lot better. Cheers mate.🤙
Hope you’re kicking its bollocks off mate! Sending positive energy X
Been there mate 😪 honestly from the bottom of my heart I hope all goes well and I wish you the best ❤

I'm 77 and can't hump a ruck anymore. Sad, but I did it for so many years I have no regrets. I especially loved it in the winter.
Spot on👍
Quite enjoy your erratic upload schedule honestly, I never take them for granted and I always feel blessed when one pops up!
Your camera-work, editing skills and most importantly your northern chat and banter are always worth waiting for (regardless of how often you post!). You put a smile on peoples faces so just be proud of that mate 😀😀😀
Altbergs proper English boots born in Yorkshire, as worn by EVERY squaddie in the British Army, quality footage.

I too suffer badly from depression. I just wanted to say that you and your content are inspirational to me. Keep up the great work! MEDIC!
you are irregular, in all things, and that is wonderful. Thanks for sharing your adventure

Actually mate, using a Tesco bag as a tarp up top of Ben Nevis would be very watchable.
A Tesco bag? That's glamping. Proper hardcore campers use a Gregg's sausage roll paper bag as a shelter and fashion a Cadbury Creme Egg foil wrapper into an alcohol stove
When life is kicking your ass , get up and walk !
On some Forrest Gump sh*t
I love your videos and I love your channel! Your natural wit and humour is such a hilarious bonus to your content, I wish you could do this full time.
The way you traversed the snow section was a lesson in mountain safety👌ATB👍👍👍
Liked that bit on the summit about being grateful to be on the mountains - fit & mobile - hit home that - take far too much for granted 👌
No worries about your upload schedule. You have a lot going on within your own mind. Also your content is worth the wait, even if you don't think so yourself. Amen to that
Mate sometimes I watch just to feel better when I’m having a day of crap
Havent seen one of your vids for a while, but this reminds me of what wholesome content you put out. The views are stunning Hazy! Keep doing it.
You touched a note in me.... One day was my last day in the mountains... I don't really recal it... But had I realised ... I'd have been emotional about it
Hazey have been looking forward to watching this all day. Sitting down with a couple of bottles of Thatchers, absolute bliss. Peace and love mate

You may not post often, but your posts are worth waiting for.
Dude I am feeling happy watching your videos and I like your style so mutch. So many happy moments watching your videos.
Take care. X

Lush. Muchos jealious. Welcome to club Altberg .. feel like I've had mine about 15-20 years now.
I’ve been within two hundred yards of that spot a few times. The views down into Ennerdale and Buttermere are brilliant and it’s an easy hike from Honister.
awesome camp mate , so glad you got some decent weather and views, loving the aero press , can't beat a good cup of coffee
We done it all old skool. But I lost touch wth it all for a while. Now I seen U , I'm off to walk the great glen wth the phox tent you reviewed. Awesome stuff buddy 👍

You pitched up almost exactly where I camped a little while back. It’s a wonderful spot!
Some great weather finally! New tent looks good.
It was stunning mate! The tent is doing good so far, I’ll beast it a little more before doing a review
Good video. What a contrast to last time. Truly beautiful. In your happy place.

Love my aeropress. I stopped using the paper filters and got a reusable metal disc. It’s WONDERFUL! 🤣😂
Great video mate, glad to see your energy levels are high and you are enjoying the experience

So brilliant to see you smiling in glorious Technicolor! I love all your vids but I felt so much for you when the rain was hammering down. Keep going Hazy! I hope to manage to climb up to the tops one day soon myself …
Glad you got some better weather!!
Great video.

I was at Dartmoor last weekend . I was going to stay but it would be like putting tent up on swamp !! Bugger that.. Also went to do a little swim , however when I tested the water it must have been about 2C .. so again , bugger that !
LOve the vids , keep it up and be safe fella !

Main thing is to take care of yourself, last one was very scary and I was worried for you. Take care.😊
I turn my aeropress up the other way and you can leave the coffee soak without it coming through the filter. Also helps to put a drop of water in the black filter before popping in the filter sheet 😅
When you cant walk to far Your videos are so uplifting and thank you ❤
Yet another excellent video! Great to see you looking so happy (although you were really lucky with the weather!) stay well, and thanks for the content!
It was very lucky mate! Thanks 🙏
Thanks for taking us out on a weekday Haze!
With the Aeropress, you can brew it upside down with the plunger in to get a better extraction, then screw the filter end on and push it through.
Good tip in general but it doesn't work super well with the Go version cos it's already pretty short so you can only get a thimblefull of water in there like that
