    Thanks, the only thing I do differant is, I use fishing line behind the emblem for faster removal (I saw your reply to another person & agreed as well). Great Job!!!

      @youcanthide004 - Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it! Yeah, I’ve tried fishing like in the past but it kind is sawed through the residue leaving me more to clean up. Just found this way easier for me, but they all work in the end! Thanks for watching!!!

    I honestly though you were going to spray paint the horse while on the car. Smart tape placement!

      Ha! You’re actually not the first person who said that! Never been a huge fan of Plasti Dip and the likes, so just purchased the Wildtrak emblem and installed it. Keeps the OEM look. And tape is essential in jobs like this! Thank you!

    When removing factory emblems on my cars, I used dental floss to pull under the emblem, lot quicker than the plastic pry tools!

      Thanks for watching the video, I appreciate it! This is, of course, not the only way to remove emblems, but it's the way I've preferred over the years.
      I've used dental floss, fishing line, WD40, the lot. My issue with dental floss and fishing line is that it 'saws' through the adhesive and in my experience, it's left a lot more sticky residue to clean up.
      The way I did it here, with the trim tools and the electrical tape left only two small spots of adhesive to clean up after the fact.
      But you're correct, there are definitely other great ways to remove the emblems.

    Great demo! Would you recommend using rubbing alcohol after applying Goof Off? I'm afraid of left-over residue...

      Thank you, really appreciate the comment and glad the video was useful. After using the Goof-Off, I used Meguiar’s Quik Detailer to clean the area and get rid of any of the Goof-Off, if that helps. I love Meguiar’s Quik Detailer and use it all the time.

    Did it come with the tape?

    • @CUPRADESIGN
      @CUPRADESIGN  2 роки тому +1

      The new emblem came with the adhesive on the back of it from the factory. I used electrical tape to mark where the emblem was before taking it off.
      You can use painters tape, masking tape, anything you want really.
      I chose electrical tape as it comes off clean and is also slightly thicker to press the trim tools against without ripping it.
      Hope this helps and thanks for watching the video!

    You ever hear of fishing string and a grease pencil ?

    • @CUPRADESIGN
      @CUPRADESIGN  2 роки тому

      Absolutely, fishing line, dental floss, WD40, sure, tried them all. This is my preferred way of doing it.
      As mentioned in my other comments, this way leaves me with the least clean up afterwards.
      But you’re right, there are many ways to do this. This is mine.

      @@nickefgen9219 So, I put the link in the description of where I purchased the black emblem. They sell for the best price around and they are a Ford dealership. If you are wanting the satin/chrome version, then have a look there and they may have it too.

      I've used several methods in the past, dental floss, fishing line, WD40 - and this approach has ultimately worked the best for me, leaving the least adhesive residue on the vehicle. When I've used dental floss in the past, it saws through the adhesive, leaving a lot more adhesive on the vehicle to clean up. In this instance, I only had two little spots to clean up. But you're right, there are several ways to do this. This is the one I chose.

      @CUPRADESIGN  7 місяців тому +1

      Thanks for watching, appreciate it. You’re obviously new to my videos, so welcome!
      You’ll see that the last thing I’m trying to do is ‘make’ the Bronco a Wildtrak, and a single black emblem is hardly doing that. I dislike chrome and simply purchased an OEM black emblem which happens to only be made for the Wildtrak Bronco.
      My channel is about helping people install, make informed decisions and enjoy many of the thousands of accessories available for the Bronco, and if you check out some of my other videos you’ll see that I have a whole host of different products on the Bronco.
      Enjoy your Wildtrak and thanks for watching!
