1). Buy a keyboard with good sounds of harpsichords and capabilities to load samples (maybe Roland JUNO-DS + free AXIAL EXP sets 1 to 10 + free XV-5080 sets A to G. 2). CineHarpsichord: VST ua-cam.com/video/FwjciDgro2I/v-deo.html
I never thought of that! I love Hector, he is a super nice and humble guy, with a great sense of humor, and arguably the best concert organist is the US.
Why? For that money one can have the real thing. No amount of electronic trickery can take away that this is just a programmed computer. The touch, the feel, the smell even, of a real harpsichord does something that the Roland cannot - it puts one in touch with the original composers. Just my twopence worth!
@@paulcaswell2813 youre not buying it to get the best instrument. youre buying it because of practical reasons. also, its not like its unplayable. works just as well as a real harpsichord for people who arent professional level simply because you havent passed the skill cap of a digital harpsichord yet. if youre a professional its a different story, but for students non-professionals the benefits of having this are large
I hear the key noise in the video. If mic record was used instead of line record, it means that the sound coming from the roland c30 was really beautiful.
it doesn't take up much space, but it is rather pricey, it is heavy, but it sounds close enough to a real harpsichord, at least for my taste. Now, Roland should make a digital fortepiano or clavichord...
I went to a Roland dealer and he told me that Roland sold off their harpsichord division to Dexibell. While some if Dexibells products are nice....they have no replacement for the C30.
Ok. So if there's no electricity? No play! A REAL harpsichord is much more practical & not phony. I cold never see anyone seriously using this gizmo in a performance of a Bach harpsichord concerto.
Harpsichord is definitely something else and unique. I love both for different reasons. Of course the piano is more modern and a lot more popular. Harpsichord is actually only good for baroque music. Very ancient; note that harpsichords don't have a sustain pedal.
i really wish this digital harpsichord was still available

This guy would make a perfect Bond-Villain
More a Austin Power villain :P

...who says he isn't?! An intellectual with style and wit, business mogule, plays a mean pipe organ and harpsichord (in his underground lair).
@@mikesmith5506 which is of course the most of most, from people who invented the french kiss, the italian pizza...
Such a shame Roland discontinued manufacturing digital harpsichord. BIG mistake. Yamaha and Kawaii.....are you listening?
He makes good demos.
This guy’s voice surprised me!
This guy is a monster player on the Bach D minor 903. His performance is insane.
I wish this virtual harpsichord was cheaper! Such an amazing instrument

Marvellous... what do you expect from Roland? The best beyond imagination. A dream for me, hope that I'll be able to afford one, one day.
This guys skills and interest has more value than food.
i wish i had enough space and money to buy one of those!!!!
Are you in the UK? I'm selling mine now, it's on ebay for £2250. If you can come and get it yourself you can have it for £2000.

I have very good harpsichord sample libraries but shame there is no master keyboard to match the vstis...
fine demo!
hi there. How can I buy this instrument, please!!!
Greetings!!

En la colección AXIAL XV-5080 COLLECTION PRESET BANK E se incluye el St.Harpsichd, es el mejor clavecín de todas las colecciones XV y EXP.
Where is that part you use to show the sounds from? It sounds so nice and i wan to learn how to play it ASAP :))
I think that Hector is not particularly able to play this French Harpsichorrr

This is mostly for people who can't afford a real harpsichord.
Is obvious that the real one will always be better than the digital.
Although this one will always stay in tune and is more portable than a harpsichord
neighbors, tuning and practical reasons if youre planning to take it with you if youre for example planning on moving countries for school
The Mr Bean of Keyboards, rather. Pityfull.
I don't like sound of the harpsichord. Piano is such better.

@@johanbrand8601 No, not you! I find that the piano is kinda dull (ノωヽ)
