Hehehe, most of us Kenyans in the rural areas live off grid. Only city people glamourise it. For us ruralers it's normal life.

Recently visited home and brother in law in subukia said he wished he had money to buy game system for his son . He has not seen the negative impact of such things. Life always seems better on the other side.

This one looks different, they look so alone in the middle of nowhere,this is different.
Not everyone was born in shags......
In the village there are neighbours always around remember my grandma had a path rite thru the compound but could not say anything.
Any encounter with wild animals? Snakes mostly.......
For sure. No week goes without encountering snakes

Is it dangerous!?? Especially at night?? U guys look so alone out there.
No it's not. We let the wild animals be and they don't disturb us
@@L.I.K It's not about the animals but the people, armed robbers and all that, I for one am never afraid of animals even the truly wild ones, I believe I can get around that. But human beings that's another whole different ball game, all together. In order for u to live this kind of life, I believe u need to be at the very least a licensed gun holder.
What about human intruders?security must be a real issue
@@stephenmbatia804 that's the thing, animals are really not scary cause u can always scare them with fire and loud noises but humans, it's a whole other ball game all together, I would rather live with animals than people any time of the day or anywhere in the world.
when we went there for the shoot it didn't feel unsafe at all because they are part of the Maasai community in that area. You should visit them for lunch or camping and experience it for yourself.

This "off-grid" phenomenon and the way it's glamorised is getting boring. Same with trad wives and "homesteaders."
Slow living is the norm for majority of Kenyans yet it's being packaged to look unattainable. Nothing to see here.
