There is a really cool bit in one of the TNG novels when Worf joins Riker's Jazz quartet with an instrument described as "something between an electric ballset and a snare drum" and noise actually causes structural damage to 10 Forward.
@@andreproudian7032 Honestly I think that description was trying too hard if you know what I mean. Like Peter Capaldi riding a tank playing his theme tune on an electric guitar.
@@andreproudian7032 True, Peter David made a career out of it and if there is one man who's had more influence (for better or worse) on modern Sci Fi writers I've yet to see it. Okay maybe Douglas Adams because of the whole "end on a cliffhanger then go talk about something else for the first five minutes of the next episode" thing
I'm a bit late but I'd sooner picture Klingons as Folk metal fans. They do care a lot about tradition as well, so the blend of folk and metal might be right up their alley
This plays in my mind when the Dahar Master Korr outnumbered held off a battalion of Jem Hadar with a single Bird of Prey for more then a minute during the Dominion wars.
I can see the battle as if I were there watching. Korr, Dahar Master of the Klingons drops out of warp awaiting the Dominion horde. When they appear he fires the first shot "Battle has begun". Within moments he is amongst the Dominion ships weaving between them like a fish through water, firing every weapon they have, launching every torpedo, shattering the Dominion's back, and moving between them as the fire on each other. The Jem'hadar flail trying to hit the single Klingon ship, for the first time they know fear and panic. Finally, as the repulsor banks empty and the last torpedo is fired they hit Korr's ship. Knowing that surrender is never an option he smiles and gives the order for ramming speed at the Dominion flagship "Today is a good day to die". As the ship reaches speed all that can be heard throughout the entire ship is "Qoy qeylIs puqloD. Qoy puqbe'pu'. yoHbogh matlhbogh je SuvwI' Say'moHchu' may' 'Iw". As the ships make contact they explode in a nova of light and obliterate any remaining vessels, all that remains are empty shells, forever adrift in the void but never forgotten, eternally remembered as the final victory for Korr, Dahar Master of the Klingons, and terror of Jem'hadar.
If ever there was a Klingon Warrior who made it to Sto'Vo'Kor, it was Kor son of Rynarr, the D'Har Master, and the brave crewmen of the B'rell-class Bird of Prey Ning'Tao. Long Live The Empire!
Qapla! I was going to do a metal Klingon victory song but you beat me to it! Well played my fellow warrior, you honor Kahless and the Klingon Empire with your song!

Worf: "What is this?"
Guinan: "It's a type of human music. It's called Metal."
Word: "But, it is glorious!"
Guinan: "That is it."

It is very plausible to see a Klingon rocking death metal. The race is brutal by nature and metal compliments their gruff attitudes.

They would

These lyrics are jibberish. They mean nothing.
what lyrics
Exactly. He says the lyrics in Klingon then he gives an english translation, except the Klingon words he uses don't exist in the language.
The vocal clip used in the song is from TNG so you can either chalk it up to sources external to the show being wrong, or a translation that goes for essence rather than raw literal effect.
Klingon is a real language that is older than TNG, and TNG is notorious for making up Klingon jibberish. They did it purely for effect.
It's a constructed language, and was never a complete language in any depiction.
