@@ExOhznot too weird. In fact, 3-5 seems to be the earliest age people report to have been in their own earliest memories. But, I'd imagine that is once they're well into adulthood. I clearly remember a lot from age 3 up, but I do have at least one clear memory from as early as around age two (I have a sister 19mo younger and was told this memory took place in an apartment we lived in until she was 5-6 months old) - - - The memory?
My mother baking a ham studded with cloves, she tells me not to touch the hot stove as she opened it to check on things... I remember the stove was small and one of those light green shades that no one makes anymore. And I clearly remember thinking that I would just wait until she turned away to touch the iron skillet to see just what it was she meant by "hot"... It wasn't a bad burn, not even sure if it left a mark on anything but whatever matter it is that stores those highlight reels for later enjoyment.
I don't know it really doesn't bother me that I can't remember every moment of my childhood, when I barely remember my 20's at this point.

This brought me to tears .
My dad has been gone for 21 years now, so I've forgotten so many memories of he and i as a kid. He used to let me steer the pickup like this as he tossed hay into or out of the bed. The truck can only idle if your legs don't reach the gas, so it never went faster than he could run. So there was no danger on the completely flat pasture. I hadn't though about it since i was a kid. Im 42 now abd this clip gave me the happiest flashback i have ever had. Thank you!
The song "Drive" by Alan Jackson always reminds me of when my dad let me do the same thing once when I was like 5. I didn't have to turn, but I had to go 1000 yards down a slight hill, through a cattle gate, then slide off the seat and stop it on the other side as it started going uphill. It was terrifying, but also really empowering being trusted like that! Sounds like we both were lucky to have good Dads

Wrong this is not okay. Parents are not supposed to be working their children like this. This is not safe
@@christineperez7562 The reason kids are brats these days is because parents don’t work their children like this. This is not unsafe. The field they are in is likely huge with nothing but open space, they are going so slow the dad would have time to jump off the back and hop in the truck. All the truck is doing is coasting while in gear and she is turning the wheel. I grew up at 8,9,10,11, and older driving equipment by myself and feeding animals by myself. Putting the truck in gear, letting it go, getting out and hopping on the back of the truck throwing hay by MYSELF, then hopping off and getting back in the truck. This is teaching her to be a strong independent and confident woman. Children need to learn there is work in life no matter what they do. Stop commenting on everyone’s comment saying this is unsafe. It’s not.
@@3yeopener210 Your Dad! LOL
@@christineperez7562 With all due respect, you are absolutely full of fear and a bit of helicopter parent. When you do not have expectations of your kids and do not teach them to follow directions and be reliable, they do not build a sense of being in this world. Neither do they develop a sense of purpose and a work ethic. A field has NO pits, obstacles or danger. In addition look at the girl, her confidence is absolutely impressive for her short age . Tell me how many adults stop themselves from accomplishing something because they are afraid to even try? here is the answer. She will be fearless to try!!!
Her motor skills are improving, it facilitares the development of her brain, especially her critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills. I personally grew up on a tractor working next to my dad. I was driving the darn thing by 5 with the assistance of wood blocks. By the age of 10 I was already proficient on excavator operations. By 18 I was landing my own excavating jobs. I paid for my University degree with the money I earned in the Summers. Why? Because my dad taught me these skills at an early age. It works.
Seeing his smile at the end is so heartwarming. He must be a proud father.

My dad was the exact opposite. Eventually I was afraid to ever try anything. What was the point in trying anything new if I was just going to get berated or hit or punished for days, ya know? I grew up on a small farm and I remember being so young, sitting on my dad's lap and steering while he did the pedals. As soon as we could reach the pedals, he let us drive. Then he fixed us up some go carts to drive around the property. I'm not some pro driver, but I'm absolutely better than a lot of people in northern Michigan, I've avoided so many accidents due to slush & Ice, I don't panic in those moments, I've even stopped my friends who were driving from making bad decisions like over correcting or braking when fish tailing in a giant blazer. I'm just comfortable behind the wheel in most situations and I know my limits, all because we started young. I so recommend getting kids go carts.

This is what parents should be teaching their kids instead of letting social media do it for them. Great job dad!!!

how to drive aged 4 sob its so beautiful
This exactly how my daughter was raised so proud of her... i believe something like this can make a little girl into a hell of a woman... good on you dad..
She's so precious ! Reminds me of my youth driving and having funny with my amazing Daddy as a child🥹🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰!!

I never did learn that 😊
This is why kids raised on farms are some of the most responsible young people anywhere. I had a friend on a farm, and when I visited him as a boy, and he could drive a car on their property, I felt like a child next to him.
Her willingness to learn and help is her strength!!! Awesome job dad!!
This child is a better driver than half the people I see on the road every day.

Doubt it. Those memories fade real quick. Unless it's a core memory.
Also dad would have made more than 1000 vids of him/her by the time memories could be understood
Right she also going to be a very independent person in life as well good job on the parents raising a strong independent person
Father/daughter moment? That's now her job!!

A true farmer's daughter. She's a good worker & listens well. The bond they will have will never be broken. Love this.
Following instructions, helping, learning skills... excellent
And listening! Most adults I see can't listen this well (and keep their mouth shut) or flow instructions this well. Lmao😂
That's how kids should be raised so that they are not scared and have self confidence. GREAT JOB DAD.
That's how you make a remarkable man!

Good job Dad, Enjoy them couple of years
This is EXACTLY how i learned to drive, in a tractor first, then a car... Had my first rally car at 12yo... Farm life is the best life to grow up in!
Same: Model D, then GMC Cab over once I could reach the pedals, then the Chevy half ton.
I was 12 too. I learned with an 87 chevy corsica, on straight dirt road in the middle of the desert.
I'm in Scotland so it's a bit different over here!
I learned to drive in a Massey Ferguson 152 with the much scraper on the back (it was old as white dog shit even back then)
Graduated to a 390T then on to the big boys!
Started driving a Ford Fiesta MK2 when I was 10, rallied that around until I was 12 when I got a stripped out 89 Mitsubishi Colt, got a guy (Scottish grass rally champion and mechanic for Colin Macrae with Ford) who was our local mechanic/garage owner and good family friend to turbo it, help me weld a roll cage in for me and that was it, my first ever rally car at 12.... I fucking miss those days!
I grew up in suburbia Colorado. So no farming for me. Instead Skied, or backpacking every weekend. I learned to drive a stick-shift at 12 when the family car would get stuck and needed both parents to push.
I can’t number the times that lesson helped as an adult.
You can see by the guys face expression how proud he is, well raised my man. 😂❤
damn she is ready to be a driver 😅
Great Dad. Great relationship. Very smart kid.
This little will cry when her daddy goes away but this moment in her heart she will know he loved her beyond all measures.

20 years of experience...✔ ✅
That is how they turn out to be productive adults, by starting at a young age. It becomes second nature to them to do what’s right. So adorable
I totally agree 👍🏻
I’ve been saying this for years
My daddy taught me allot at an early age. How to do concrete work, how to do yard work, how to trim trees. How to change the oil in his truck. My son totalled my car at 11. On our own ranch on one of the dirt roads. lol
Yeah honestly I wish this was more commonly thought too many are sent out into the world without skills and have to figure out everything all at once
Amazing little girl! Daddy don’t ever break her trust, she’s following every command you give with her little self can’t see, trusting every word you say
This made my day. I can tell from this video, that this little kid will grow to have great values and attitude.
