All Club Pilates operate somewhat differently. The pricing can be different from studio to studio, depending on what demographic the studio is in. The scheduling concerns you had are also based on your particular studio. I manage two locations and our weekend classes run through 4 pm.

I live in Philly and my classes are $202 a month for unlimited classes. I can pause any time. I did sign up when they first opened so I got a great deal. I did start off with the 4 classes and limited to signing up ahead. Now I can book out a lot of classes. I've looked around and other private places that are more expensive, and sometimes they don't stay open. I like that I can pause anytime, at least with where I go, the owner was very understanding. I paused until I was ready to come back. My body definitely missed it! As far as classes doing the same routine. I think it's more for safety reasons, and to get you use to the basics. I'm on my 2 year anniversary and that classes kick my butt. 2.0 classes will also change or be not existing if there are a lot of people not taking them or a lot of new members that need to start off slow. 2.0 classes are a lot of standing and body control. I've seen some people do their own thing in a class, and the teachers are fine with it. Again, depending on the studio owner and teachers! I've wasted so much money at gyms and other classes. This is the only thing I have ever committed to.

They aren't just "out to get your money". The fees charged if you miss your booking or cancel late is an incentive to not miss your class... for 2 reasons. 1. They want you to build a healthy habit, and invest in your health.
2.The instructors are paid on a sliding scale. For every open reformer during a class that's money docketed from the instructor's pay. So, if you book a class then don't show up that means less pay for the instructor, thus the wait-list is put in place to help keep classes full to help that out.

The first reason isn't a real reason lol. They don't charge you for missed classes because they want you to build healthy habits. They charge you for missed classes because it costs them money when you miss classes, and that's the only reason. They ARE just "out to get your money." That's how corporations work.

Great review you hit on lots of things that are a problem for group setting for Pilates. I do virtual training for Pilates if you have reformer or mat. People body’s have different needs base on like you said what there doing in life. 5 element if fitness
1 Cardiovascular 2 muscle endurance, 3 muscular, strength, 4 flexibility, 5 body composition. Pilates 5 element - concentration centering control breathing precision
Hopefully you learn this in your classes if not you have ways to go to know what Pilates really is

It’s usually expensive because of many factors 1. You have personal trainer all the time and 2.trainers are highly qualified where i live (Zurich).3 machines are expensive too.

Yeah i started at club Pilates with the basic four class membership and i had a lot of frustrations scheduling. I did really enjoy the workout so so I ended up going to a unlimited membership which also gave me access to more studios than just one and that alleviated a lot of my scheduling issues and at least my club Pilates with the unlimited membership you can book. I want to say 2 months out. You can have 15 classes booked at any given time. I agree and the level 1 classes you do a lot of the same things with slight variations for different instructors but I actually enjoy that. It helps me feel a lot more confident going into other classes cuz I had a strong idea of what they meant by certain things. I'll probably take in about 30 classes and I tried well, 1.5 class and I knew the movements and exercises. The pace was just a bit too much for me so I'm going to stick with the 1.0s for a little while longer

Thank you for this review. CP is opening another Location in my city (Toronto Ontario) and I’ve always wanted to join a studio, but they are often small, pricey, with most classes durning the day. Like who has that kind of time during a weekday. It always seemed like it was for upper middle class, white, stay at home mom’s, with nannies😂 (J/k…not really)
Anyway, Im glad you talked about the scheduling aspect. That is something I need to consider.
    Great review. Thank you

I've done pilates with professional football players. It's for any gender, any age, and is used by dancers to heal from injuries, etc. I know she did not learn everything about pilates in 3 months.
