Don't really need a ripped body to be successful in fighting sports. Look at the Great Muhammad Ali. Well developed body but not particularly ripped for a professional boxer, yet he was super quick and agile, and his fighting record speaks for itself.
Boxing and MMA are two different sports. Boxing is more about point most of the time and if you're lucky you can land a knockout. MMA is always tapout or knockout.
