There needs to be an update that allows players in the same vehicle even if they're not in a squad to be able to ping and see the enemy, I hate when there's a group of enimies right next to us and everyone in the vehicle is just focused on a single person jumping around

The way Zain's background turned blue as he was turning around was a really nice call-back to how Specialists have been introduced in the past. Solid trailer, solid soundtrack, solid season.

BF2042 should have been delayed by 1 year. It was a rough launch, like quite a few BF Titles, but I can see they are putting in effort to release more quality updates even if they lack in some areas (ie amount of new maps released).
I played the very beginning of season 1 and haven’t played since then, after watching this and hearing about some changes made throughout season 1 and 2 im considering redownloading this seems to be in a lot better position
The new map looks cool. Especially indoors. I like there is a little destruction, but I wish they would up some levolution elements again. I really loved that in BF4, and I enjoyed the more destructible environments in many of BF3's maps.
@@Allen-fe1nq Much much higher server load. If you do large amounts of destruction, it's hard to synchronize that between different player PCs. If it becomes unsynched, people will start being shot through walls that appear there on their screen and people will try to capture flags that aren't available anymore and will be floating in the sky.
Looking forward to this one. Zero Hour was great, Master of Arms is fun, and I'm expecting more of the same from Escalation. It's been a rough year, but I'm here to stick around until the lifecycle for 2042 is over. Game's gotten massively better since launch and I hope to see that trend continue.
Zero Hour was better than nothing, Master of Arms was a bit better, but hopefully Escalation will be when the game FINALLY gets to an alright state, I feel like we're close to reaching a fine state for the game right now.
They just categorized the Specialists into 4 sections like Overwatch. It's just a scam to get people to buy the specialists early who don't want to earn it in the Battlepass

Agreed! Shanghai was like peak BF4 Urban Warfare map. Now imagine in 2042 if they made one but with multiple levolution effects like an earthquake reshaping the map, toppling down multiple skyscrapers. Or like a center capture point on a high-rise building and a tactical nuke went off creating a ground zero zone with a huge crater revealing a metro map underneath. Now that's the best urban map. A Shanghai/Metro fusion map.

The design of the game as well when it launched was just so disastrously BAD and far off from what a standard BF game is that it cannot be fully repaired even by the end of its life cycle
Each season has improved the game massively, so I have high hopes for this. I can't wait to see what they can put out once they're done fixing the problems from launch and can put all their effort on new stuff. Edit: say what you will about Dice, but holy hell do they know how to make an exciting trailer. I think I'm gonna be spending a lot less time in MW2 in a week's time.
I think they’re allocating a lot of resources to reworking the base game maps, but if they stay on track then they should all be reworked by the end of season 4. I think going into year 2 we can expect a lot more content per season
Imagine them adding an Add-On to Battlefield 1 now with colonial Settings in Africa and Asia 😍 now that the game is played again! I would totally pay for that. They already had colonial troops in the game. What I really liked. They could have chosen 2 African maps. Tsigtau and maybe something like the rebellions against the Portuguese. And the game explains a lot. For example in the operations menu there is the historical background if colonies. All the time wasted on 2042 and the unfinished Battlefield V with so much potential. It's so sad.
Actually, their first trailer for bf5 was just as good. Pity the actual game that followed was a joke. I wouldn't get your hopes up for this one either

i think i might have noticed something with the railgun tanks turret which is the gun doesnt elevate the turret looks up which makes the gun elevetion so little there are tanks like french ligh tanks which have turrets like this so that might be a thing

yea it´s playable and makes fun now, especially with a couple of premates but they need to put in way more content, I hope the ingame store (even tho some ppl hate it) helps dice to cover more developement costs as it would be sad if they just stop putting more and more stuff in.

It always look amazing. The DICE cinematography/cinematics team are fantastic. The game dev leadership however certainly wasn't and this title will always be lacking compared to it's predecessors.
I have always believed in 2042's potential. It's nice to finally see the game becoming what it should have been at launch. This map looks like a real classic BF map. And with all the reworks. year 2 might be quite amazing. Keep it up. Im having a blast. Sidenote : Would love to see Strike at karkand and metro making their way into portal. Battle of the buldge is an awesome and beautiful map. . Put it in the exodus rotation please.

It almost certainly has an alternate firemode where you charge shots up for increased damage but, naturally, massively reduced rate of fire. You can even see the charging in the trailer as the outline of the optic fills up then empties when fired.
I am so excited for this! This game helped me get through some tough personal times and challenges, and to see it finally getting some love from the devs is so awesome. I can't wait!
I have always had the idea of an urban map with a huge mountain behind it, half way through the game a tsunami warning to get up the mountain for the next half of the game. The tsunami would make the buildings crash into eachother with a bunch of explosions aswell. Cars floating for extra details too. I wish for season 4 they would add an atmosphere to every map.
Can someone explain the shot of the new tank in El Alamein with the Osprey with 1942 soldiers, does that mean that we will finally be able to customize portal a bit more to have vehicles from different eras with different soldiers?
I wish DICE would port some BFV maps to Portal. Imagine what would modern combat look like at Iwo Jima, Solomon Islands, Pacific Storm, Provence, and Al Marj Encampment. But good job DICE. You guys are truly showing now that I didn't waste money on pre-ordering the game. It's definitely gotten A LOT better with the ongoing new seasons.
Reworked maps for the win Who doesn't get their chaos fix on the hill at orbital is on another level, the flow of that map alone has improved dramatically, hoping that manifest follows in it's footsteps.
A really epic map would be a huge city, and you can go into most of the skyscrapers, but like siege of shangai, but it would be bigger, more buildings, and the tornado can take down the main skyscraper, and you can take it down, id also love to see a rural farm area map with a massive tornado

NICE!! Very pleased with new map, but what about the vehicle classification re-work??? I haven't heard ANY updates on that since you "addressed" it since the previous Dev update supposedly for this season. No one is gonna be able to use that cool new tank fighting over an AA or Bolte, RAM, Tank. For 128 players, its very limiting trying to get vehicles.
EA and Dice please add more futuristic stuff like vehicles and guns from battlefield 2142, and battlefield 4 final stand. Now I am getting hyped with the stuff I see

Battlefield has always been CPU heavy. Even if you have something like a 3060 Ti it would still kill frames, very noticeable at 128 Conquest.

It almost certainly has an alternate firemode where you charge shots up for increased damage but, naturally, massively reduced rate of fire. You can even see the charging in the trailer as the outline of the optic fills up then empties when fired.

I have always had the idea of an urban map with a huge mountain behind it, half way through the game a tsunami warning to get up the mountain for the next half of the game. The tsunami would make the buildings crash into eachother with a bunch of explosions aswell. Cars floating for extra details too. I wish for season 4 they would add an atmosphere to every map.

Who doesn't get their chaos fix on the hill at orbital is on another level,
the flow of that map alone has improved dramatically, hoping that manifest follows in it's footsteps.

A really epic map would be a huge city, and you can go into most of the skyscrapers, but like siege of shangai, but it would be bigger, more buildings, and the tornado can take down the main skyscraper, and you can take it down, id also love to see a rural farm area map with a massive tornado

NICE!! Very pleased with new map, but what about the vehicle classification re-work??? I haven't heard ANY updates on that since you "addressed" it since the previous Dev update supposedly for this season. No one is gonna be able to use that cool new tank fighting over an AA or Bolte, RAM, Tank. For 128 players, its very limiting trying to get vehicles.
