I wish I had seen this video before I replaced my drivers side window on my 89' Vette' - the dismantling of the panel would have been a much easier. Great job and thanks for producing this tutorial.
Very precise and informative video . I just replaced my rear amps on my 89 C4 and have to do the passenger door amp next , this video will make it much easier , Thank you for sharing .
This works for the C4 1988 Corvette Bose Gold amp removal too! Scoured the internet endlessly trying to find a how to. Chris’ C4 tutorial is for the 91 and older which is different. So glad I found this and hope maybe he will reticle the video for others with an ‘88 Corvette to find it!
I used this video to replace my right door 89 coupe Corvette Bose amp. Everything on this video was right on. It only took about 45 min. I did use a power screw driver/ nut driver.
Thanks for the video - very helpful to understand what's required to get the speaker module out of the door. GM engineering. Sigh. I think I'll just crush my '89 instead of fixing the stereo.
Excellent video. Probably good idea to remove the Courtesy light fuse. I own a 1989 Corvette with malfunctioning Bose speaker system and I am presently replacing the Bose stereo and speakers with an aftermarket double din unit (different double din size to US standard- so it's proving quite difficult) and would like to also replace the Bose speakers (haven't chosen yet). So this video is just in time for me to see how it is done by a pro.
Great video - thanks. I just agreed to do a full stereo & speaker replacement on one of these. I don't know what is the bigger pile of shit - the Corvette or BOSE for the design. Oh well - never saw a single Chevy or BOSE product I liked, so why start now.
Thank you very much! I was able to take out my original Bose speakers from my 88 Corvette.
FYI 84-89 that you have listed is C4 not C3 as you have titled.
RC Addix Inc came to say same thing!
LoL. Me too
Me too, 7yrs too late lmao

once you've gotten it out where would you get a replacement part?
Great video, this guy makes it look easy. Is the process the same on the driver's side?
Yes it’s exactly the same
