    2015 Peugeot 508 GT Touring
    2.2-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder
    150kW and 4550Nm
    Six-speed auto, front-wheel drive
    0-100km/h in 8.5 seconds (as tested)
    French cars. They've always been interesting, with classy and innovative designs, and often filled with smart technologies. They don't have the best reputation for reliability, and resale for some is not ideal. The 2015 Peugeot 508 GT Touring looks so good though, as far as sleek Euro wagons go. Should you take a potential plunge and buy one?
    The 508 underwent a facelift earlier this year. It comes in five variant levels, with three different engine packages. There's a 1.6-litre turbo-petrol producing 121kW and 240Nm, a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel developing 120kW and 340Nm, and the range-topping 2.2-litre HDi turbo-diesel as we have here, producing 150kW and 450Nm. The latter engine is exclusively available in top GT guise (sedan and wagon). Prices span from $37,990 for the 508 and go up to $61,490 for this top GT Touring wagon version (excluding on-road costs).

      It's not a sports car, imagine it as an equivalent to an A4 S-Line Avant.

      +Wold OliviO why do you think 180 is better? i drived them both , and 2.2Hdi is little bit faster and stronger

    • @worldolivier
      @worldolivier 8 років тому +1

      Chokri ben No because the bluehdi engine is lighter and more econom. The 2.2 hdi is slow for 204hp

      Its not the engine, automatic gearbox its slow.. if it was manual the 0-100 time would be at least 0.8sec faster.

      @Chokri294 7 років тому

      Thats true i'm sure it can reach 7.5 Sec if a manual was available

    I had it, and I hated it. One of the worse car I've ever bought.

      Why’s that?

      @@davidbusch8912 Because of the small things that broke. I've never had such a failing car in this regard. From the trim falling off, to the paint falling off on the rims of the wheel arches, a clogged heater, CR system failures, window lift failures, a raging radio that once read MP3 and once didn't, Bluetooth that disconnected the phone time and time again, and at the very top of these failures - the diesel with all its ills, the injectors, the leaking turbo, the leak at the joint between the transmission and the engine, the compulsion to drive and burn out the DPF and finally the failure of the AdBlue system after which I was fed up with this French junk.
      The car was bought from the first owner, with confirmed mileage, service history, as the owner serviced it until the end at the PSA dealership.
      My last french car.

      @@davidbusch8912 Well, no problem at all David. All those things happend within just two years of driving 508. Well... it's nothing strange that used car needs some attention - that's perfectly fine - but those issues were appearing all the time.
      To be honest, from the 508 group on FB I've learned that most things mentioned above are "standard" issues with this car.
      And now imagine, that this was "reliable" 2.0 HDi... and think how things could go with the 1.6 THP that is one of the worse petrol engines ever created.
