It's the summer of 1983, and precocious 17-year-old Elio Perlman is spending the days with his family at their 17th-century villa in Lombardy, Italy. He soon meets Oliver, a handsome doctoral student who's working as an intern for Elio's father. Amid the sun-drenched splendor of their surroundings, Elio and Oliver discover the heady beauty of awakening desire over the course of a summer that will alter their lives forever.

Please god I just want to live inside this movie till eternity
My same thought
i tried to explain the same thing to someone, why does it only seem normal in my head
Gabriel Alves, what’s worse is having grown up in Italy, knowing you can never feel the magic this movie encapsulates again
Michael C is that you in profile 😘
Michael C yes daddy

Thomas Silva I don’t get it ?

DONT MAKE ME LAIGH IM TRYING TO CRY
Can we just talk about how poetic it is that this music video starts and ends with Elio reaching for the peach? It represents how throughout the film he is reaching for, experimenting with and exploring his sexuality and by the time he finally grasps it this happiness is ripped away from him (much like how the peach is plucked off the tree, which is it's lifeline). It perfectly sums up the film in a single shot it's absolute GENIUS! I could go on and on and on...
Also, the fact that they show various sculptures throughout the clip. It makes one understand the inner anguish and confusion. They want each other but cannot act upon it as, they are being watched(even admired) by other people.
Steph Piano What a stunning representation. Agreed.
I KNOOW RIGHT!! been wonderin bout this too
Steph Piano movie great right ?

TIMMY DESERVES THAT OSCAR
HE ACTED THROUGH THE CREDITS!!!!
14 days have passed since I saw the film and still get sad every time I think or see things about it
Kaio A I watched it on December 26
In my case, 3 months have passed...so.....

*Uncontrollably cries forever*
Movie Multiverse 💗
Ed Sachanowicz 😭😭
This film is legendary. Easily in my top 5
Theocvlt what are the other 4?
They deserve OSCAR!! 😭😭😢😢
Mikael they won Oscar.
They deserved best photography, best movie, best song, etc, at least they won best screenplay, a real justice for James Ivory, he made beautiful movies and the beautiful screenplay of Maurice, a beautiful gay movie from 1988
I’m in love with this movie! I’m in love with Timmy! I’m in love with armie ! I’m in love with the music! I’m in love with everything about this film
this needs to win an Oscar for best song! or a nomination at least!!! so underrated and really overlooked this awards season! disappointed with how Sony classics handled CMBYN campaign and its overly delayed wide release. Given the hype and attention the film and its actors have gotten, especially in social media, the film is losing steam ahead of the Oscars. they failed to take advantage of their momentum. sad.
You are so correct in this assessment CMBYN had so much momentum in early and late fall, then every thing just fell apart and support waned to the point that many were starting to suspect it wouldn't be even nominated for best picture and truth is if it was still the 5 picture limit, it probably would not have, this film is cinematic art at its very finest, such a shame.
well its nominated for 4 oscars lets hope they win
their chances are bleak unless Sony and the whole team pushes for some major campaigning this month. adapted screenplay has the most chance of winning. academy voters are a bit predictable, I'm sure they will go for Oldman and Three Billboards. James Ivory can win but Aaron Sorkin is an academy favorite as well for adapted screenplay. I was actually pleasantly surprised this got a nomination because other award shows haven't been giving this masterpiece its much deserved recognition. but I really wish Timothee will win. Oldman is a great actor but makeup did half the work for him, I could still hear him in Churchill and I think TC had the most impactful performance of all the nominees- they shouldn't discount that fact. Even the film, but thats a long shot. maybe next time they can account public voting with a certain percentage lol and definitely CMBYN would sweep! they're the only ones with a fandom and incredible social media presence-which other film can boast that?! haha
Ponti Pontiveros I wouldn't call Sorkin THAT much of an Academy favorite if he couldn't even snag a nomination for "Steve Jobs" in such a weak 2015.
This movie WON one Oscar (James Ivory)
Just amazing.
Parce-que c’etait lui, parce-que c’etait moi.
That's my favorite sentence.
Oh gosh. I am crying again.
"because it was him, because it was me". Ugh I can't handle this story. Between this and the "I want to be good" parallel with Oliver and the father, it's a story that I will always connect with.
I will never get over this movie.
Can't get over this movie. I'm speechless.
This movie hurt me on so many levels, I can’t get over it...and I probably never will get over it...it’s not even a movie..it’s a masterpiece I can never explain in words how great full I am that I found this when I did...it’s beautiful...
Ugh, I can't believe I still can't get over this movie😢it's still lingering in my mind how sad the ending is. How I can feel what both of them must have felt. Even though I know they ended up together in the sequel.
Haven’t seen this movie, but I can already tell it’s a beautiful film. Can’t wait to see it!
Don't forget to read the book as well, they are strenghtening each other.
Silluet88 exactly
Same I’m waiting for the blu-ray to drop this march. Time can’t go any slower 😞 I want to watch it this instant.
every time I watch it I get emotional!! prepare to cry
it's perfection
This is the first time I've ever known this movie through the song. This clip made me expect that the movie is a reel of beautiful canvases. I love the scenes and it shows elegance all through out. The way it was edited is so graceful and fragile just like the development. I'm gonna look for the movie.
THIS BETTER WIN FOR MUSIC (ORIGINAL SONG) AT THE OSCARS IM SAYING IT RIGHT NOW
Oh, to see without my eyes
The first time that you kissed me
Boundless by the time I cried
I built your walls around me
White noise, what an awful sound
Fumbling by Rogue River
Feel my feet above the ground
Hand of God, deliver me
Oh, oh whoa whoa is me
The first time that you touched me
Oh, will wonders ever cease?
Blessed be the mystery of love
Lord, I no longer believe
Drowned in living waters
Cursed by the love that I received
From my brother's daughter
Like Hephaestion, who died
Alexander's lover
Now my riverbed has dried
Shall I find no other?
Oh, oh whoa whoa is me
I'm running like a plover
Now I'm prone to misery
The birthmark on your shoulder reminds me
How much sorrow can I take?
Blackbird on my shoulder
And what difference does it make
When this love is over?
Shall I sleep within your bed
River of unhappiness
Hold your hands upon my head
Till I breathe my last breath
Oh, oh whoa whoa is me
The last time that you touched me
Oh, will wonders ever cease?
Blessed be the mystery of love
It never fails to make me cry
This film touched some heart’s cord that I didn’t thought i had
I am crying..... agaiinn... 😭😭😭😭
:(
Let's be honest, we all want and need this kind of a summer vacay experience at least once in our life.
Call me your name give this weird feelings every time I see it. It's like this movie isn't over. It's a story that yet to be end. Am I the only one that feels it?
The film "Call me by your name" received the coveted Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay
The film really turned out to be very vital, light and atmospheric. An interesting scenario, a game of actors, beautiful landscapes of provincial solar Italy of the 80s. A film with a good aftertaste and light dramatic sadness. It seems to me that the films are a mirror of our life, a filter that teaches us something very important, to love, create, create, live, in the end, and nothing to spare.
i just watched call me by your name last night and honestly its the best love story ive ever seen. its a work of art with the storyline, the music, the colors, the setting, the acting, the chemistry, and deep emotions it envokes. i already want to watch it again
I loved both the book and the movie so Much god
This movie is just perfect, no words to describe
This movie means so much to so many people, it's wonderful to see the gay community, or at least a large proportion of them, come together around it. I am finding it hard to stop thinking about it as I suspect many are, for many reasons, either it reminding them of a love lost or causing them to reflect on something they never had. Some may think it ridiculous to become so invested in a movie involving fictional characters, but i think it just touches a part of us so much that we don't want to let it go, I had hopes of this film doing well on the awards circuit and it had so much promise at the beginning but support has fallen off so much to the point I think we are luck it even got nominated, it is sad the Timothee's performance, which is so brilliant, will lose to the same kind of performance they always go with. Oh well we will always have it in our hearts and that is at least to be celebrated.
this movie and book are a miracle.
One of the best films of 2017.
I want to hear this song in Oscar!
David McAndrew and we did!❤
This movie took me to a roller-coaster of emotions. I have not cried this hard for a long time and never felt so bad for anyone. My heart is still aching 😭 especially for Elio. I know they are just Fictional characters but I can't help thinking about and feeling bad for them. Such a beautiful and haunting movie. Definitely one my favorite movies.
Awesome, beautiful, magnific! This movie is the best thing of 2017. I can't wait for see it
first of all, i cant stop crying
I love crying!
mickeymatthew yeah many of us do too 😢
mood!
I had a similar experience in 1993 with an older man in Spain. I never got over it. It was my first experience of love. I was 15. He was 25.
Sweet yet sad. The poster is so stunning and explained well
Очень трудно жить нормальной,обычной жизнью после просмотра фильма Call me by your name...
Indeed. It is etched our hearts that to this point nothing can eradicate your sense of the verity of true love. Call me by your name is one of the true finest love story out there.
Im crying again. 😭 this movie is just pure beauty. A cinematic masterpiece. Brokeback mountain broke me once but this movie broke me again. Now im gonna imagine myself with someone like oliver. I love it. I love every bit of it. 😭😭😭😭😭😭
It makes me happy that my sister and I are equally obsessed with this movie, the book, the soundtracks and it's character.

Why The Hell They Snubbed In Golden Globes
Nantha Kumar Hollywood is homophobic, so next year, it’s going to be about homophobia in Hollywood. Besides it’s just rich people giving other rich people an award.
True .
Hollywood homofobic? Don´t you remember Moonlight winning last year?
Nantha Kumar cuz OSCAR is heavier
Nantha Kumar I lost hope in the last 15 minutes
TÔ CHORANDO HÁ 3 DIAS SEGUIDOS
Oscar for this song too.
PURO ARTÉ
this is one of the only movies i've ever watched that's actually better than the book
it's 5 in the morning and I'm crying desperately wishing to live a love story
*Cries in Italian*
it’s been a whole year. it seems as if every comment is over a year old, too. so much has changed, and the boys are doing well.
all i can do is wish things were how they used to be, again.
* zones out dramatically in front of fireplace while playing Visions of Gideon *
Call me by your name and I'll call you by mine.❤️❤️❤️
what does the flashback scene mean? does anyone know?
CMBYN for the win.
Is there anyone knows about Oliver’s backpack, what brand is it?please tell me I want that
Phumin Mueangkaen Invicta, it’s an Italian brand
Jose Tomas Ayerbe very very popular amongst all kids in Italy in the 80s, like Superga sneakers which also appear
Oscar Oscar
❤
Timothee is awesome
what do you think is sadder call me by your name or brokeback mountain.
rence paleno Brokeback for sure, a violent death is always worse than a summer love affair that ended too soon.
+shotahunter ohh I see, but what do you like cmbyn or brokeback. sorry for bad english
ahre
call me by your name.. its ending is harder to accept than brokeback mountain i think, because he has o move n for sure now that jacks dead.
Honestly they’re both in my top 5, thing is though, I think Brokeback Mountain was sadder because it ended in Jack’s death (I hope I don’t spoil it for anyone wanting to watch it) and CMBYN ends with Elio grieving over a “loss” of Oliver because he decided something different. In the end Brokeback made me much sadder because naturally death is an unideal way to end a movie.
Sad ending...it made me cry....is there a sequel with this film?
Ren Busbus yes I think they are going to make a sequel
Give them the damn Oscar ! Bye.
Sorry. I cried again
elio is always shirtless
