It went really well thanx, Urban Life. The journey actually went really smoothly but I had difficulty finding the hotel when I got there - even though it was right next to the railway station. I ended up walking around this massive car park in circles for the best part of an hour completely lost because it was dark and I couldn't find the exit. LOL:) The course itself was really good, although a lot of it was to do with using Excel to calculate sums - which I don't really do as part of my job role anyway. Still, it's useful for sorting info and producing reports if you create a database using it, though. I also got a chance to chat with someone whom I've worked with for years - via exchange of emails - but whom I've never met in person, so that was really nice. Hotel was really nice too and I actually got a good night's sleep - which is quite rare for me when I'm away from home. x

Hi there, Urban Life. Hope all is well with you. Thanx so much for watching my video and for such lovely feedback again. Yes, that's really good advice regarding noise nuisance from neighbours. I actually think it's a really widespread problem and many people put up with it for years because they're afraid to rock the boat or think that complaining to their neighbour might make them do it even more. Thank you for the kind comments about my pic at the Cardiff LGBT History Month event. It was such a great atmosphere there. I saw quite a few of my friends too so it was one of those occasions during which I felt I really belonged to the community. I think I've developed a bit of a habit of leaving these transgender fb groups. It's really sad to see people within the community splitting apart into factions because there's enough people outside of it who hate us without us hating each other as well. I'm still really nervous about going to Solihull tomorrow evening. I think once I get there and I get to the course the next day then I will be okay. It's because it's somewhere I haven't been to before and it's a new thing to me going on a sort of paid for overnight stay/business trip. Well, take care and lots of love, Katie. xxx
@@katie2858 A great atmosphere always helps when out with friends good to hear you made a new friend on fb. Can't say ive ever been to solihull may off passed through at some point. When i gone to the midlands. But i hope it not as scary as a new town/place can seem sometimes. I hope you get to some more lgbt events in the future. i hope to get to the liverpool trans march at the end of march. If nothing comes up🙂 Anyway don't let anyone grind you down and i do understand about belonging and other things you have mention. Send you lots of love ❤🌹🦋🙂 xxx
Hi Sean. Many thanks for watching my video and for your comment. I did attend therapy for about a year after my mum died. Finding the trans group, and actually being trans, was no connection to losing my mum because I knew I was trans from about the age of three. Yes, I do feel like I am a broken person inside and I feel like I have no future a lot of the time (actually, increasingly) and I wonder what point there is in going on. Much of this is because I wished I had transition earlier in my life. If I had done that there's a chance that I would have actually lived it who I truly am, been better integrated and engaged with society and, consequently, would not have all the psychological hang ups, financial and social restrictions I have now. That's why I think that LGBT education, visibility, role models and organisations (such as Mermaids) are so important. In my case, the sooner in my life I could have transitioned the better it would have been. Now I feel my life is practically over and I wasted it. x

Katie hope you are ok and everything as gone well on your trip away and its not been to scary sending you lots of love 🙂🌹🦋❤ xxx
