I have yet to get onions that size. I live I. A weird area. I live in Philadelphia, which is up north, but we get southern temperatures. Our zone is 7b. When I did long day onions I got no bulbs. When I did short day onions, I got small golf ball sized bulbs, but bulbs nonetheless. This year, I planted about 100, 4 varieties. Please pray for success! Yours look great!

Nice harvest there. Im growing the Texas legend there almost ready but im disappointed in the size. No 4 or 5 inch ones that they say are normal. Good news is i finally did grow onions after 3 other fails. Just subscribed. Happy gardening

Growing eggplant, roma and beefsteak tomatoes, carrots, zucchini(first time growing this, doing it in grow bags), iceberg lettuce, bell peppers and pinto beans. I only like white onions so I will grow that next year. Also at 5:06 is that mint or lemon balm?

Yes, twice. I add bone meal to the soil when they first start growing. Later on, when they start to form the bulbs, I add a high-phosphorus fertilizer to the soil around them.
My onions are very pitiful. I have had them growing for about a year and lets say they didnt grow much. I am going to dig them up and replant in a new bed; sorta like yours. Ya made me jealous lol.
Easy answer: I garden as often as I can 💪😂. Sometimes that means carrying soil around the yard or just pulling weeds…but it always ends in a sweaty armpits lol
