TEYE has really improved his game. To put in better perspective, he was only promoted to the A class a little over a year ago, and although there were doubts over his promotion to the elite class, he recorded flawless wins ( 5 - 0) over established names like Polifila and Stephen, and ( 5 - 1) win over veteran Ardey. He placed 3rd that same year he was promoted to this division, only losing out at the Semi Finals to the eventual winner and this very opponent he is yet to record any win against, Abu National. Abu is the standard name in the game, and even at his worst, he is still a tough customer to negotiate with. Congrats Abu National. Thanks for sharing TT.
Kudos to the players and organizers of botwe draught championships your games have come of age I will urge you to educate the players to remove their hands from the board hands from the board after playing so that it will enhance the beauty of the game game for viewers,
Teye is trying, but he needs to improve on his play ethics. Why snap the pieces multiple times after each play? Once he plays, he should allow his opponent to play, as moving a seed to a new position means you have played your turn.
FACTS ARE INVIOLABLE. At some point in the game, when ABU was cruising to victory, he made an unconscious statement to the effect that "he was the defending champion in this very competition" to the chagrin of the fans. He corrected that statement as the fans would wish that he was actually the former champion and that ADDAE was the reigning/defending Champion. I fact checked his original statement, and the verdict is that, ABU was right. ABU NATIONAL is the defending Champion in this "SUPER EIGHT A" Competition. Remember, the emphasis is on the SUPER EIGHT A COMPETITION. Here is a list of the past winners.
