MBDA at Eurosatory: AKERON MP for ships, FLP-T Thundart in coastal defence role and LCM

- At Eurosatory 2024, MBDA briefed Naval News on the naval applications for the AKERON MP land combat missile system as well as for the newly unveiled FLP-T Thundart long range land strike rocket artillery system. At the event MBDA also unveiled the LCM (land cruise missile) based on the NCM (naval cruise missile).

AKERON MP is the only 5th generation missile in service combat proven in the world. It has been operationally tested and proven in extreme climates (desert and sub-arctic conditions). The system’s design includes the growth potential necessary for future modern land combat systems.
At Eurosatory 2024, MBDA unveiled for the first time, alongside Safran, a long-range guided rocket concept, the FLP-T Thundart. The FLP-T must be able to accurately strike fixed targets up to a distance of around 150 km. Future evolutions of the rocket would give it a range of 500 km along with the ability to strike moving targets at sea (in a coastal defence role) thanks to an IIR seeker.
MBDA also unveiled the Land Cruise Missile (LCM) system, a new ground-launched Deep Precision Strike capability, to meet the needs of the new strategic environment on the battlefield. The Land Cruise Missile (LCM) builds on all of MBDA’s expertise in the field of Deep Precision Strike and is based on the combat-proven Naval Cruise Missile (NCM) in-service on French Navy frigates and attack submarines.

Im very excited! Finaly MBDA is doing what should be doing for more then a decade a good rocket artillery program that give extra range to mobile rocket carriers and should focus on a multi calibre artillery rocket that is full European away from the American sphere and being fully autonomous, like the Elbit Puls that is truck carried and can carry a number off diferente calibres, Europe need a range of rockets from 110mm, 122mm, 166mm, 254mm and a 324mm with a TBM on the projects pipeline actually should be a prioraty for Europe, at least a first step!
So similar to the AGM-179 JAGM? LPM is the French version of PrSM

@@marc9080 German factories are producing for MBDA Ger, which operate under German law eg re exports of TAURUS (together with SWE Saab), Enforcer (aka Wirkmittel 1800) or, in the case of this video, JFS-M.

You have to hand it to France. There isnt many countries with this type of capabilities. They maintained and advanced their MIC where others have allowed that capabilities to regress.

Made in France. But basically the same concept as Israeli Spike missile. They kicked Israelis because they couldn't compete fairly.
Access to our markets is a privilege, not a right. We don't owe Israeli industry a living.
1. They were banned from Eurosartory because of how "fairly" they have been treating Palestinians
2. Israeli defence industry is basically subsidized by US. What does France owe Israel? France is a free country and allowed to develop its own weapons, it doesn't need Israel for squat!
