غزلیات حافظ شماره 113 - بنفشه دوش به گل گفت و خوش نشانی داد
بنفشه دوش به گل گفت و خوش نشانی داد
که تابِ من به جهان، طُرِّهٔ فلانی داد
دلم خزانهٔ اسرار بود و دستِ قضا
درش بِبَست و کلیدش به دل سِتانی داد
شکسته وار به درگاهت آمدم، که طبیب
به مومیاییِ لطفِ توام، نشانی داد
تنش درست و دلش شاد باد و خاطر خوش
که دست دادش و یاریِّ ناتوانی داد
برو معالجهٔ خود کن ای نصیحتگو
شراب و شاهدِ شیرین، که را زیانی داد؟
گذشت بر منِ مسکین و با رقیبان گفت
دریغ، حافظِ مسکینِ من، چه جانی داد

The violet last night spoke to the rose and gave a delicate hint,
That, "My frizzled curls, the ringlets of so-and-so have given the world".
My heart was a treasury of mysteries, and the hand of Fate
Sealed its door and gave the key to the stealer of hearts.
As one broken, I came to your gate for the physician
To show to me the liniment of your kindness.
He passed by wretched me and remarked to rival suitors,
"Alas, what a soul my poor lover's given up!"
May the body be fit and heart joyful with good fortune,
Of him who has granted help to the weak, and friendship.
Go, dispense your own particular remedy, O admonisher
To whom wine and a sweetheart have been obnoxious.
