I am not religious at all, but found that to be a valuable talk. Thank you

Such a great talk to listen to in a world where men are being degraded and masculinity is being torn down. Men have a divine purpose as sons of our living God, even our Heavenly Father.

his example of men was not very "masculine". I liked how his example was of a very compassionate and thoughtful man.

“Masculine” includes the traits of “compassion” and “tenderness”.

It wouldn be more manly for the husband and boys to do the ironing themselves; and spare that mother the task while she recovers from CANCER!

hahahaha exactly what I said to myself. But I think that would be the case in the earlier days, because the mothers were usually 100% stay at home moms, so doing stuff at home was probably her contribution to making the home a happy place. Regardless I think the boys could have been asked by their dad to start doing it and their dad himself. Note: We also do not know the age of the boys too, if they could iron or not. Final point: Todd Christofferson was teaching us to be men and sacrifice for the well being of our families. Let's keep that as the focus of the talk and be men.

If she was anything like my mother, she would not have tolerated her family shouldering what she perceived as her duties. It is important to note that real men do not do everything that others can and are able to do for themselves, but we can lighten loads and burdens.

I would be careful to pass judgment without knowing all of the particulars of the case. I try to judge like I would like to be judged.
