- Short film on the Vanishing roots: "The Apatani Language and Culture" a slowly vanishing language and culture in apatani tribes. The film was nominated for the best film at Borderland Narratives, North East Film Festival, Rajiv Gandhi University. Arunachal Pradesh wef- 23.03.2019 to 25.03.2019.
The film was conceptualized and directed by Dulley Tamang, Written, Scripted and Produced by Shri Gyati Rana, co-produced by Miss Gyati Sunya, Asstt. Director Shri Ligang Sallu, Production Management - Shri Gyati Tath, Background Score by Kekho Thiamkho(K4Kekho).
Hope this film will be an eye opening to every one for preservation of own local dialects and culture for generation to generation.

So true..the syllabus part is so heartbreaking😥😥during my school days(cls 6) there was a subject called third language where a book on tanii agung was provided but after class 6 never heard of such subject and books too😭😭 there really is need for preservation of our language because that shows our identity...truly appreciate the efforts putting in👏👏 and pls share it among the tanii's

Midi, you might come across many such things like bonti and bonta were asked in Apatani by house owner but talk in Hindi or English to their children. Same is shown in film. Outsider knows our language but our children are not.

@@Abojum thanks for suggestion. Traditional rituals, the words used by priest are beyond our understanding. Only showing traditional ritual will not help. We have to give subtitles of every words in English so that what actually is going on. Hope somebody of your tribe will look into it.
