Introduction to Ronald Stevenson's Passacaglia on DSCH, op. 70 (/watch?v=H0qZRRj3vnQ, played by Mark Gasser). After remarks by Marc-André Hamelin, the composer plays few bars and says a few words about this monstrous magnum opus.

But has Hamelin ever performed the Stevenson Passacaglia? Not to my knowledge, or at least there doesn't seem to be a recording of him playing it anywhere I've found. I wish he had recorded it though.

When? Looks like late 1990s - early 2000s.
