We don't always have to talk about the Nazi's when anything about Germany comes up guys =.= The past is the past. Every country has done terrible things at one point. However, I will say, don't blame modern day German's for something an Austrian did. The German people I have met and have lived alongside were amazing and kind, so please, don't say things about German's when you have never met a German person. I've been called Nazi myself, and only because I was born in Germany. But anyway, as someone has already said, please, talk about the Nazi's elsewhere, most of us just came to hear Doitsu sing.
That means a lot. (me being from a strong German heratage and also living a German lifestyle.) it makes me sad kuz I was called a natzi once.)=
Ultron. You are right the story is in the past, we have to forget and forgive, my heritage is Sicilian, Italy and I merry a german, he was the best most caring warm person in my life, I still miss him and I promissed I will learn german. Germans are cool people and italians too.
I agree most people really hate hearing that stuff. and I find it very interesting that you were born in Germany(very cool)
People really need to understand that the past is in the past now.... every country has done terrible things before. We can't go back to the past and change that. Life is hard no matter what. We are humans together, no matter what. We all up in rough times. We can't go back into the past now. People can't just blame German people without knowing about the past and just hate them out of nowhere without knowing about Germany and it's past. People need to think first before they start hating.
the Germans still continue to be haunted about the past and about what you-know who did to innocent people. the way I see it don't blame all the Germans for what happened not everyone is to blame, just like America that's already dealing with hate crimes because people blame those who were not born here are treated unfairly and mistreated, threats on their life etc. every country has delt with darkness and we cannot be avoided no matter where we go. the world as we know it has changed for the worse within the years.
Awww, poor Doitsu. He indeed is lonely. As stated in his observation journals, "Italy is my only friend". I love both of Germany's character songs. And they suit him perfectly.

This song hides so much truth! :'( Actually, the German people aren't lonely... but the whole nation is it somehow. Since WW2 the other nations in Europe and America were always scared that Germany could grow stronger again. They had respect since the Germans began a second WW almost right after they lost the first one (nobody expected that). Compared to other countries Germany is quite small but, nevertheless, caused so much trouble in whole Europe. It's hard for Germany as a country to make friends after that. We're respected but branded as a domineering and Nazi populace. It started to get better with the reunion a few decades before. Nowadays, we have a mostly good relationship to some countries again and play a quite important role in the EU... but we're still a little 'EINSAM' :/

Just to mention it, we may appear quite serious and scary... but actually we are really nice and funny people and I don't even know a single Nazi... so yeah. Don't be afraid of us xD
(P.S.: I am German and would live, if it would still exist like in the past, in Prussia
While I can't speak for Britain and France as a whole, I do know that Thatcher and Mitterand had the amusingly ridiculous view of German reunification being a threat to Europe as a whole, and also that other European countries were fairly hostile. But what's most important I believe is that Germany has a strong ally in the US, which has been fairly supportive of it and its endeavors since 1945. In fact, America was one of the strongest proponents for reunification.
And I don't think I've ever heard anyone mock a German or Germany. Sure there's Nazi jokes now and then but no one takes it seriously.
I also have a very strong German backround. this is all true and means so much to me.
I have a strong German heritage as well and I don't know but I think I have a Nazi or two in my family. they're not really mean but their actually really kinda and loving.
