You boys are getting around! Were the lemurs in the Asian section? I did work experience in a zoo in my school days many, many, many years ago and from that have mixed feelings about Great Apes being kept in captivity, but the enclosures there looked very good in fairness. Not that many interesting reptiles the I thought?
Yeah Dublin zoo doesn’t have a great reputation with apes. One of their gorilla is or was obese,an Orang-Utang has escaped and two macaques drowned in the moat around their enclosure. About two years ago another macaque escaped also. It’s not only apes either. They’ve had pelicans escape(one was never found) two cheetahs (one was shot dead) an elk(ran around Phoenix park until it died of exhaustion) a bear and a parrot is presumed dead after escaping. A sea lion also died due to negligence

Yeah the lemurs weren’t in the African section 😅, all the enclosures were very well planned out but the reptile selection was a little disappointing
@@PredatoryExotics I have to admit I do prefer an old school reptile house as opposed to scattering them around a zoo.
