Yeah this one was a toughie and that is putting it mildly. It had me on the edge of my seat. I have never yelled at the tv like I did watching this show.

This was the most heavy episode for me.To listen Dean actually saying to Sam that he is a monster was heartbreaking. His worst fear was that and then him saying the same things John said that if you go, u will never come back. It cried so much. Sam was talking so calmly to Dean unless he said the monster thing. This is such a heartbreaking episode.
I’m not gonna lie….i found this episode very hard to watch 😢😢😢😢 Poor Sam. Poor Dean. My heart broke for them 😭 😭 😭 Great reaction though! Can’t wait for the next episode and then on season 5!
Yeah Sam really is put through the wringer. Not only is he suffering the effects of the demon blood but its forcing him to face the mirror so to speak deal with his issues internally and the visions are symbolic in many ways. Alistair he represents Sam’s pain and suffering. Young Sam was all his hopes and dreams that are now far from where he is now. Mary is an interesting one Sam has no memories of Mary so he wouldn’t know what she’s really say instead its his justification demon-kind took so much from him and he feels he is doing good and that he is willing to go the extra mile that he believes Dean isn’t. Seeing Dean the one who has always been in corner against monster hunters angels and demons even against John for Dean to be so disappointed in Sam to calling him a monster hurts the most and all he wants is Dean’s validation his blessing to do this. Dean himself wants to keep Sam safe so much so he is again willing to pledge his allegiance to the angles knowing they are just as bad as the demons. The ending was absolutely heartbreaking this time there was no siren poison Sam and Dean were clear of mind when they called each other a monster and weak it was so bad Sam was willing to kill Dean on the spot and the scary thing is you don’t know if its the demon blood or just Sam’s actual resentment. This was a tough episode to watch for me a friend of mine was addicted to pain meds after a snowboarding accident and while she is doing well and has been sober for years rewatching this again after everything makes me feel uneasy. Can’t wait until the finale.

Well, Sam has had demon blood in him since he was 6 months old, it’s unlikely he could follow the angelic path. he did not choose the demonic, it was already in him

The title of the episode is a reference to the Led Zeppelin song of the same name, but you knew that already 😊 I can tell you this episode doesn’t feature anyone’s death as in previous episodes.
When those of us who watched the series as it aired saw Sex & Violence and how the siren in that episode made them fight each other, we knew there was unfinished business with the way that episode ended and how we would see the conclusion to them fighting and it all came to a boil here. Sex & Violence was the episode that aired before the final break that was longer than a month. The fact how that episode ended with those 2 fighting and we had to wait more than a month till the next episode made it clear that they would trade blows again later in the season.
Nice video! I think a good way to summarize this episode would be "clash of egos". The way I understand it, Sam's not only afraid of being a disappointment or worse in Dean's eyes, but wants to prove himself to both of them - and perhaps get some respect and admiration from Dean from this perspective. And then there's Dean, whose anger towards Ruby (and probably Sam's choices), a bit of habits, and most importantly fear of losing his brother make him harder and controlling. Because you mentioned it at the end, make sure you have _multiple_ tissue boxes for even just Season 5... there's a good chance that your heart will be pulverized by the end of it.

I think you might be on to something, maybe he does want some respect and prove himself too but I think mostly he wants to be trusted to do the right thing, and not have Dean being disappointed in him, at least that’s how it feels for me at this point in the show! I can understand why Dean feels angry, but it hurts seeing him feel that was and how that anger fuels the distance between them - as does Sam’s choices. They both want the opposite of what they end up getting.🥲 Also prepping the tissues, I’m terrified for season five 😂😭

While it sets up the season finale, I always come away thinking it would have been better as a two-hour special. (That's how long it would be in the States, including commercial breaks.) Oooh that’s the song!! 🙌 It’s a great episode with amazing acting, and so hard to watch. I could for sure see this one being longer, and even though it’s not really the end of a season type this one really tops the emotional list of the season😭 tried bracing myself as much as I could haha!
This episode and the next are so amazing. Loved your reaction. The whole episode is painful to watch. Sam does think he's doing the right thing, but how much of that is the addiction talking? And I think "hallucination Dean" was right in saying that part of why he likes it is because it makes him feel powerful and strong. If you remember, Chuck hinted at the same thing. Sam probably doesn't want to admit it, but that power is definitely part of the allure. I felt SO terrible for Dean having to listen to Sam basically go through torture and be completely helpless to stop it, unless he was willing to give him more of the blood he believes is turning him into a monster. Sam kills me in this episode. Every hallucination is heartbreaking and awful to watch. I was so with you and just wanted to constantly hug him. I need them to be okay. The way Dean says to Sam, "I just WANT you to be okay!" is exactly how I feel about both of them and their relationship. 😭😭 Another fabulous reaction! Can't wait for the season finale! ❤

Sam probably do like the feeling, and I guess that deep down he knows that too since he is hallucinating Dean saying that😭 it’s so conflicting because Sam is a really good person who does strive to do the right thing and halo people, but I’m guessing the feeling of power and being able to actively help people and do something would feel good so I can see that being a bigger part of it than I thought from the start. Dean having to hear Sam scream for help at the top of his lungs and having conversations with himself cannot have been easy, and since Dean put him there as well I cannot imagine how incredibly hard this must have been for him. This episode truly made me want to hug the boys, and I agree. I just want them to be okay.😭❤️ I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Can’t wait to share more of this incredible show🥹

The brother attachment continues off set with those two. Their kids call the other one Uncle.. Jared's brought the kids on stage before.. the older one called Jensen "unka Jensen" not uncle.. adorable. They've said on stage at cons that for 15 years there's no human on the planet that they've spent more time with, so they had to get along. I think you have to get past season 7 before you're cleared for those cons.. maybe later.. going by the age of the kids.. could be season 9.

This episode is heartbreaking to me. Poor Sam. He never asked for any of this. Especially the demon blood. Castiel let him out of the panic room, and Bobby did nothing to stop him. This is one of the episodes I never rewatch. :(
It really was! Felt like a real gut punch. He truly didn’t ask for this, and I hate how he is tormented so to try to get out of this. I got real surprised when Castiel let him out of the room!!
