The voice acting in this game is absolutely phenomenal, one of the best in any game I've played. Neku's "WHY?!? WHAT THE HEEELL?!?" before he realizes he's alive again is absolutely heart wrenching and my favorite scene in a video game. Great job, Jesse David Corti, great job 😊
It's one of the game that draw out full potential out of small DS. Stylus, button, dual screen, mic. It's all vital not to only clearing some sections, but vital to how you play the game as well. And one of the best story-line and development of characters are just so mind-blowning.
Finally, someone uploads it without the secret ending! This has to be one of the greatest endings in game history. It shows all of the development Neku went through, with starting out as an antisocial teen who only wanted to block out his surroundings, to a friendly, open guy that's willing to do anything for his friends. One of the many reasons with this ties with the first Kingdom Hearts for my favorite game of all time.

I love when characters have that positive development. It's rewarding watching them grow, and become better people through the challenges they face. The voice acting and music contribute to this as well. Neku's VA did an excellent job.
I love this game, but god it is hard to play the ds version when you are low on the stats department, plus having to pay attention to 2 screens is damn hard, you get hit eventually Specially when your partner has no defense and the lifebar is depleted in 1 hit from pinkie... I need to check the rereleases and see how they handle, being 1 screen only
but people will be complaining about it when they change some things... this is better as a game but yeah, i would like to watch that not so "perfect" anime

I wish they'd remaster it for 3ds- the iPhone remaster's controls just aren't anywhere near as good. I found using Beat REALLY unintuitive in the iOS version and could barely finish the game because it was so hard to get the game to register that I was trying to summon him.
Run Away was the Lullaby For You to Solo Remix and Final Remix, although it's not as legendary as the latter, they're both emotionally beautiful ending pieces to TWEWY. With NEO TWEWY turning a year old on July 27, 2022 in addition to The World Ends With You having 15 years of grooving and moving(I dunno if Nomura will make some anniversary art for TWEWY like with Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy VII, also the second's franchise became 35 years after all those games made since 1987), I'll proudly say that along with Parasite Eve, this game franchise are both Square Enix's magnum opuses. Maybe the third game taking place in Aokigahara(as a concept of mine, and Kingdom Hearts homages like NEO as well, for example, TWEWY with the Destiny Trio and Disney cast alongside DiZ/Ansem the Wise, NEO with Roxas, his Twilight Town friends, the Sea Salt Trio and Organization XIII, and lastly for the third game the Wayfinder Trio, a senile old man and his edgy assistant. Just compare Neku with Sora, Rindo with Roxas and the female lead with Aqua)would have a female protagonist entering the Reapers Game for a week only, but when she fails to defeat the Game Master or gets killed by the Noise and lower class Reapers, the district where the sequel takes place gets erased and the girl will be transported back in time to the first day, in some sort of Groundhog's Day loop. You'll also do the same time traveling thing at any time(even on the seventh day where Aokigahara is wiped from existence). Video games such as The Legend of Zelda Majora’s Mask and Deathloop did the same template before, so why not TWEWY?
