these guys deserve every ounce of success they get. they truly do. they worked hard af during the time you’re not sure if this will ever work. well boys, it did. couldnt be happier to have a band like this at my age 29-30 y.o and being able to watch you like the kids in their 20s did when Phish was doing this in the early to mid 90s
Great interview. If it wasn't for UA-cam I wouldn't have learned of Goose. So grateful for their generosity in sharing their shows and highlights from every tour.
No you're definitely right Chris - the free, full shows on UA-cam was a genius move. And it helped them gain thousands of fans, I'm quite sure. A smart and generous digital execution is never a bad idea.
Interesting to hear this perspective. All these people and organization that actually makes the music happen. Let's be real, music is a complicated business and to bring the music to the public takes a massive amount of work.
Good interview. Good topics and insights into real world issues impacting bands starting out and crushing it. Thanks for the respectful inquiries … and keep going Goose!
It's an understatement to say that their "Arcadia" performance form the Peach Fest was a big part of them being discovered. I think they'd be big either way, but suddenly a jamband that was maybe midlevel at best on the scene just blew up and now they are the top. In fact I'd say they are playing venues that are too small at this point. My friend had told me about these guys about a year prior, but even still I barely gave them an earshot. And then one day it just clicked. I actually went back and listened to that Arcadia performance and was just in awe. I absolutely love this band. Listened to everything they've put out since.
Well I went around for the better part of 24 years following these 4 guys called Phish Around everywhere. And my Hero Trey Anastasio introduced me to you guys. And he Un intentionally created a monster . Love you guys. And now I’m following you around ! ❤
Smart guys solid heads makes for a long career Trevor is an underrated bass player as well as maybe the most important member but I honestly think these guys have all contributed to their success the sky is the limit from Grateful Dead to Phish to Goose these dudes are the heirs to the throne in my opinion
As someone who travels to see this band as often as I can... I can say with confidence that my wallet is good if you guys take breaks every now and then! LOL
Seems with Goose in particular, opening with questions about developing UA-cam content would be the ideal place to start. It’s precisely what created the quick rise. They put on a clinic for how to grow their brand. (Plus the music of course slays also)
One of the great things about Goose is that they invest back in their audience, meaning their light and staging. Saw them at the recent Capitol Theater run and it was spectacular
Notice how silent Rick goes after the interviewer compares him to Garcia and how many people depended on him touring and that it may have contributed to his demise...
@@DerekPresti Super Fair! I love Goose. I loved the few times I got to see the Grateful Dead and most of their collection of music. I just thought it was interesting to watch the gears turn in Rick's head.

OMG love that Trevor was the finance manager, Picturing Weekz at a desk with sunglasses on and high tops crunching numbers makes me smile.
*squeezes his Reebok pumps 6 times.
*pumps up the other foot.
*adjusts sunglasses.
*examines the Q2 p&l ledger.

I'm glad they get play on indie radio here in Boston. That's how I found out!
The move to intermittently release full shows for free was one of the best business decisions to spread the music quickly and early in their career.
Live music is in great hands. So cool to see these guys finding success and remaining humble. well done!!
More Goose interviews. Love you guys! Thanks. Goose is by far my favorite new/young band.

These guys are the best thing to happen to live music in years! Incredible shows!
Great interview.
We were so excited to have them here in Mississippi and they totally shunned us on social media. Not a single post about being at Cathead Jam.
As someone who travels to see this band as often as I can... I can say with confidence that my wallet is good if you guys take breaks every now and then! LOL
Class acts and humble...incredible band comprised of incredible people.
❤❤❤❤ Goose needs a female guest singer 🦹🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️

As a CPA I respect the state tax stuff being a lot to handle. Nonresident withholding is a pain
Hey Dale 👋
watching this postspuds rip

To be fair, he didn’t compare. He provided an example.

Peter......??? His name is Eddie.
holy crap I just "realized" why he has the mustache, he looks EXACTLY like those fake glasses with the nose and mustache attached
Peach arcadia'd
Rat in a train ditch...
Stay on top of yo shit!
Then along came a rando named Ernest.
Why are they talking about finances in an interview. Just keep that stuff to yourself I say.
See you guys at the Ryman!
