► Her Majesty the Queen was joined by her grandson, Prince William the Duke of Cambridge, during her first public visit since the coronavirus pandemic forcedher into isolation.
The Queen and William visited the UK's top secret military laboratory, Porton Down, where they met staff who had responded to the Manchester Arena bombing, Explosives Detection Dogs, analysts who had worked on the Salisbury novichok incident and scientists who are now responding to the Covid-19 virus.
During the visit cameras were not allowed to follow the Royals through some areas due to the top secret contents of what they were viewing.
The Queen officially opened Porton Down's new Energetics Centre.
