The relegation playoff means that the team that finished 16th in the bundesliga will play the team that finished 3rd in the 2nd bundesliga and if the team that finish 3rd in the 2nd bundesliga win then the team that finished 16th in the bundesliga will get relegated and the team that finished 3rd in the 2nd bundesliga will get promoted
