this was, by a wide margin, the best video I have seen as a new player
I tried both controller and kbm but was using kbm until I saw this. I figured it was the high level control of choice but you helped me understand so much about basic stuck handling and stuck lifting it's insane.
Also your channel is cool. I like your GoPro hockey vids more than a lot of other people who do the same thing, and I like how you narrate and explain some of your decisions and what you are attempting

Super big to know that controller is meta. I heard about "w battles" and assumed KBM would reign supreme here, so against my comfort with a controller and against the pain I felt trying to move with wasd, I persisted. Fortunately, that only lasted about 2 days until I caught this video. With about 2-3 hours of practice, the drills in this video alone have me on a completely new level. I'm actually dashing and spinning into pucks with control and purpose and it feels super surreal lol.

idk i have like 20 hours but i got them like 2 years ago now i started to play again and i can dribble past al;l the defenders and then fake the goal so the goalie dashes in one direction and i dribble into another is this good ?

I can't play with a controller at all, when I'm trying to turn my right joystick I keep shooting the puck instead of controlling or turning

Im confused. So if you get more advanced, is keyboard better?
Also, im confused why you say you can only dash 8 different directions using a keyboard. Thats not true at all. I can dash in any of the 360 degrees. You hold one button longer than the other. So for instance if I want to dash to the left but also 21 degrees toward the front of me too, Id simply dash with both Left and Forward pressed and let off the Forward about 20% into it which is almost immediately, and let it be more to the left so I get that barely forward, mostly to the left dash.
What youre saying is youd always be dashing in perfect 45 degree angles everywhere, either forward backward left right or the 4 diagonal variations of those 4 directions but its just not the case. Try it for yourself and without even trying youll notice you almost NEVER move in a perfect 45 degree angle, proving you can do it and then if you practice doing it, you make it work and it doesnt seem like an actual benefit for a controller anymore.
framerate unlimited isn't required. Just cap it at 144 the human eye cant see frames past this number, your ultimately just stressing your pc for 0 reason because this game could pull over 1000 fps.
Nah dude trust, there is a HUGE difference between 144 frames and 500 frames I promise you. Game feels like butter at 500 and like your playing on a microwave anything below 150
u just need to check your screen Hz, anything over that is not going to make sense bc u loosing this FPS.
